Product Description
Professional Tulip Lens Hood is primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light (flare) from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Screw-mount lens hoods, such as this 55mm, are designed to screw right into your lens or filter. Rear locking ring allows the user to rotate the hood in 360°direction.
Why should you use lens hoods? Essentially, a lens hood acts to block out light that the lens shouldn’t be receiving, which can contribute to aberrations such as flare, particularly when shooting towards the light. Wide angle lenses, due to their expanded field of view, are naturally prone to gathering stray light, though the reduced field of view on standard and telephoto lenses means that for accuracy, the use of lens hoods is just as important.

Good protection for my lenses
They fit perfectly on my two new lenses. I think they will provide the shade I’m looking for when taking pictures outdoors. The screwed onto my lens filters and the lens caps fit into the hoods. Worked great.
You Get What You Pay For
I am giving it 3 stars because not only the quality of the product is average at its best. Secondly, when I used it on my Nikon D3400 lenses it felt kind of flimsy.Its a good product if you are looking for something cheap to get by temporarily.I will not buy a better quality and brand later when I can afford.

I teach yearbook every year and it seems to be difficult to take quality football and soccer pictures with the sun always coming down in the photos or casting glares on the photos. I bought these after reading some reviews and am glad I did. They came fast and in time for our last football game!

Great quality and works well to minimize glare from sunlight and flare from indoor lights. Provides good protection for the lens if you were to bump into anything wearing the camera. It also just looks good!
