So it seems the seller has started shipping tripods of considerably lower quality. Looking at the pictures and videos others have posted of the 50” model, what I was shipped is nothing like those. The version I received is absolute junk. The listing pictures show it holding my exact camera (and others have said they’re using DSLRs without issue) and mine can’t even hold it straight. The mount itself isn’t even level side-to-side. Absolute junk. Would not buy again, nor would I buy anything from this seller again.
When I purchased these tripods, I was making multiple purchases for a movie shoot. These were intended to hold up a slider dolly for a scene in a movie, but I really flaked out when it came to reading the specifications. These tripods are very, very small, and when they are fully extended, they are incredibly unstable and shaky. I wouldn’t even use this for a small DSLR. I should have paid closer attention to the size and weight… and the price was under $10, so that says a lot right there. I would recommend spending another $10 or so to get a much more stable and sturdy tripod.
Do not purchase this. I just opened it up and when I was setting it up to shoot new items for my shop it broke before I even got the camera attached. I use a Canon PowerShot N. The camera weighs basically nothing compared to most of my other point and shoot cameras what a waste of money and time. Now I have to deal with the hassle of returning an item I never even got to use!!!
This tripod isn’t the best I have ever had but not the worst either. There are 3 different levels of height you can use, there are on each leg a small clip that opens up and extends approximately 1.5 ft. The Height being fully extended is ok, I am pretty tall and had to crouch, but at least I didn’t have to sit on the floor. There is a lever which turns to release it to tilt, there is a screw that attaches the camera to the tripod. I feel like there should have been at least a little more space for you to screw the camera on and off, it was a touch of a tight squeeze and my fingers are quite slender. I would say that overall for a novice or beginner this would be ok suited.
For the price, it is a great tripod! I’ve bought 2 slightly more expensive tripods that do not even work nearly as good. The only problem is that it is very light. I had a DSLR on top and barely tapped it and it fell. Luckily, it fell on a pillow. Also, the leg extension latch is not strong enough for prolonged DSLR use. It would slowly get shorter. Also, it is too short to record a 5’9” well enough. It would be angled up. It’s good enough to record things on your table or photography in most cases though. For a little more, you can get a higher reputation tripod on Amazon. I have since upgraded but use this as a 3rd tripod if necessary.
It’s very flimsy plastic. It can’t support the weight of a dslr camera to effectively level it. I will make it work till it breaks or I throw it across the room. Then I will buy something more substantial instead of being cheap.
I used my barely 2 times … literally the first time I opened it to test it out and another for an actual shoot. The third time I attempted to use it one of the legs had fallen off. Now I don’t trust it to be used with my more expensive gear ( Canon t6i… ) . I will only use this for my Iphone videos / pictures because at least they have a case should the leg give out.I have had it for 3 months so I am out of the amazon return window …
This is a cheap quality, low grade, somewhat unstable plastic tripod. I would not use it for any decent size camera or photography application where stability is important. Almost every axis has some give even when tightened, and some plastic joints seem like they will break if tightened too much. It is ok for placing things that require a camera connector where you dont mind a little shake. For example, I am using it for a sensor that has the same screw connector under it as a camera. It is able to be placed nice and high and moved around on the tripod rather than being mounted on a wall.
Pretty flimsy, which for the price isn’t unexpected. The screw to adjust the tilt is very difficult to use at least partially because it is too close to the camera.
Not that sturdy. some of the parts broke with slight pressure. It gets the job done though.
Needs a rubber band to keep the post from sliding back up.
This stand is so helpful when I want to take pictures using my phone. It adjusts to pretty much any height, from table top to body length.
My camera fits perfect on the tripod. So lightweight and easy to carry on the trails.
Would have liked higher quality materials
Well made for traveling and home movies. Not a bad price either !
I bought this because my old one broke on vacation, this is a bit bulkier and taller but it’ll do. I love it though and can’t wait to start using it once I get everything set up.
Very flimsy. Mine broke the first time I used it. Quite disappointing as we were expecting to take group pictures while on a long motorcycle road trip.
