Product Reviews

Here are the features I like about the monitor 1

I cannot tell you how many monitors I had to go through until I settled on this one.Price/Feature: This monitor is priced well. Here are the features I like about the monitor1. 144hz refresh rate,2. Lightboost capable! - lightboost can be used with Nvidia videocards. There is a little tweak that you must use a Custom Resolution Utility (CRU tool) it can be found on blurbusters.com. Lightboost uses the 3d backlight, making it strobe really fast and it further removes blurriness from the image. Gaming with lighboost on is very enjoyable.3. Easy to Debezel. The casing around the monitor can be popped off by using a kitchen knife or anything else that is slim and can separate the bezel.4. Its FlickerFree! I do not have any eyestrain after longer hours of looking at the screen.5. I purchased a second one, and may get a 3rd for surround gaming.Cons1. The vesa mount is on the plastic cover. If you debezel the monitor, you will lose the vesa capability and will need to become creative - luckily there are many options out there in forums.2. Really for the price I have no other cons to share about this monitor. You get a VGA cable, DVI-D cable, Power brick in the package. Stand is not adjustable but does tilt forward and backwards. You will need a screwdriver on hand to tighten the stand.Hope this helped.

Don’t waste your money on higher end 144hz, this is indistinguishable to them.

I love this monitor! It’s the best deal out there right now. I was going to buy the asus 144hz monitor but they jacked the price up about 80 bucks for no reason, so I got mad and decided on this and I was not let down.Okay it doesn’t have g-sync but I put it next to my friends Asus Rog g-sync and couldn’t tell the difference. It doesn’t have speakers but who uses crappy monitor speakers anyway. Its really durable, I am constantly taking it to LAN at friends houses and leaving it in my car trunk bouncing around for days. No dead pixels, super dependable and easy to break down and put back in the box with all my other stuff for LAN-ing.Switching to 144hz is the biggest noticeable improvement I have done to my computer short of upgrading video cards.Buy this monitor and don’t look back, use the money you saved to buy a nice head set or something. If you found this review helpful please up vote me, thanks.

False advertisement, Acer’s fault

I love this monitor I really do but the one real problem is that this monitor does not like 144mhz as it will cause the monitor to crash after long use of gaming, upon contacting acer they said it supports 144mhz but is not recommended to use at 144mhz I felt this was false advertising not on amazon’s part but acer itself which is why I gave 3 stars and not 5

Ghosting Awful, Lightboost Good

3/5Pros+120 Hertz Lightboost+Big upgrade from 60 Hertz+CheapCons-144 Hertz is Unusable with all the ghosting-Lightboost Darkens ScreenSummaryI bought this monitor for the intent of using 144 hertz. Unfortunately it is pretty much unplayable at 144 hertz with the ghosting. Ghosting is very noticeable and ugly. Thankfully this monitor is Lightboost capable. Lightboost saves this monitor from being a steaming pile of ghosting crap. Although the brightness/color will be a bit dark when Lightboost is active, you should definitely have it on.

I don’t like to much the orange detail on base or the …

I have used for 3d modeling in NX, and there is a big difference between this monitor and a regular one, it makes my work much more fluently, I don’t like to much the orange detail on base or the shiny case (probably is a wink to gamers), but that’s just a preference. I really recommend this product.

I have this monitor for about 2 weeks and it does a great job. I do not find it too bright and the colors are great. Of course, it is quite an update from my old monitor.

this monitor owns

tldr: this is a no frills no bullcrap great monitor.fyi, windows 10 will not recognize that it’s 144hz unless it’s connected dvi. haven’t tried hdmi > DP yet but i’m just going to stick with dvi because i don’t need to run sound.pros:- the stand is sturdy and doesn’t wobble like my old 60hz 23” ASUS VS238H-P. this is a godsend and this is what has driven me absolutely MAD about that monitor. i hate it.- easy setup. not happy that i can’t just use a standard power cable but whatever.- supports vga/hdmi/dvi. looks like you can connect speakers to it too but who the hell is going to do that?- brightness is easy on your eyes on the default settings. my asus monitor is stupid bright and it hurts my eyes. as an IT guy who stares at a computer screen for 9+ hours a day this is wonderful.- colors look great and distinctive. i’m not some sort of nerd who is going to talk about whether this adheres to adobe rgb/color accuracy or anything but it looks great. i’ve played doom and final fantasy on it and it looks fantastic.- for the price it’s reasonable for a 24 inch monitor- no built-in speakers. nobody wants them and if you are into built-in speakers on monitors YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.- vesa mount compatible. you can use it with your monitor mounting systems.- unboxing is something i pay attention to with monitors as i deal with them often in my line of work. this is a piece of cake to unbox and you dont have to worry about tearing the entire box apart or breaking apart the styrofoam to get the panel out. i could actually see myself saving this box for whenever i move again, it was that easy getting everything out and i don’t see it being difficult getting everything back into the box.cons:- looks like 144hz is only available via dvi connection. not a big deal for me though, my gtx 970 has a port and this is my primary monitor so whatever.- this is nitpicky but the power button protrudes a lot and can be a little distracting. if you are the type that struggles finding the power button this could be a pro for you.- the controls for the settings are not labeled on the front of the monitor—this can make fiddling with the settings confusing. for you power users out there that just HAVE to have the perfect settings at any given time for whatever you are doing this could be a major downside.honestly, part of me was thinking “man, $180 for a 24 inch 1080p monitor???” but in the end it was worth it. if you are wondering what all of the hype about 144hz is, this is a good place to start. everything is super smooth and crisp. i have no major complaints to report and i could see myself buying another one. if you aren’t interested in 4k 144hz stuff and are waiting for the decent 21:9 monitors to go down in price, this is a great option to tide you over until 1080p is finally dead. i approve.

Great for gaming on the budget.

Great for gaming on the budget. Had it for a while and it’s an amazing monitor. Glad I made the upgrade to a bigger screen, made a lot of difference. Highly recommended.

Nice monitor. Bigger than I expected

Nice monitor. Bigger than I expected, but my girlfriend likes it. It’s kind of difficult to use the monitors buttons, as there aren’t any symbols to let you know which each button…

5-Stars for Amazon support, 1 star for the product and Acer support. My son uses this monitor for gaming and he has dual setup, i.e. two monitors connecting to his gaming PC.

Great starting 144hz monitor

Bought this for $200 during prime day. The transition from 60hz to 144hz felt amazing! Right out of the box, the big screen felt more immersive (coming from a 21.
