Love the product, but the compass didn’t work.

This hefty chunk of ⁵⁄₅₀ cord is great, looks cool, and the connector is secure and it can be tightened to fit your wrist.But, with my order the compass didn’t work. I used a military grade compass to compare, iPhone, and another compass I had around. All three were working except this one. I hope other people didn’t have the same issue as me.

Compass doesn’t work!

I previously wrote about the compass not working on the bracelet I received. This is an update:After my previous, non-complimentary review, Aegis emailed me the same evening. They apologized for a batch of faulty compass’ that got into production and apologized for my inconvenience. They then sent, not only the replacement bracelets, but also an upgraded one as an expression of their thanks for my patience in the matter.Now that is first-rate service! They completely turned me around and I would recommend their product, not only for the functionality of the product, but because they back their products with more than just lip service. Well done Aegis!

Look cool, doesn’t function as well as it looks.

I really did like this bracelet, as did my buddies. HOWEVER the compass never did work right and now it simply doesn’t work unless I jostle my wrist. It upped my tacticool value, I wish overall functionality matched. I did receive the bracelet very fast though!

The fire starter does not work and the compass is not reliable. It points North sometimes,……..the paracord bracelet is okay. I have a SoloScientific fire starter that works. I’ll attach it to the paracord.

I guess if i was on a long trail I would carry it, not wear it. It is bulky and would seem to snag on bushes etc. My biggest complaint though is the compass. I live in Florida and I never knew the beach was to the north. I always thought it was to the east. So I tap the thing a few times and lo and behold, the beach is now to the south. Have we split away from the mainland? So, basically the compass is a cheaper version of whats inside a cracker jack box. Think Slim Pickens in 1941. I haven’t tried the firestarter and maybe it would work.

he did say the knife should be a bit more useful..

I bought it for my husband for his bday(we are avid hikers) he “liked”it but im the one who wears it, so I’m not sure how he really feels about it haha, he did say the knife should be a bit more useful … But I like it!

One big flaw with mine at least.

This would have gotten it’s 5 stars considering its very well built, strong, and has a lot of cord packed into it. Unfortunately… the compass is its weak link. Though still usable the poles reversed themselves and now everything points in the opposite direction.I also can’t take off the compass as it also acts like the locking mechanism for the bracelet
