Product Reviews

Terrible quality

As another reviewer mentioned, the neck does not fit into the body of the guitar, its way too small and VERY badly shaped. There is an obvious problem with construction that cannot be remedied. In addition the seller is not responding well to my request for refund. Fortunately Amazon’s guarantee will eventually get me my money back, but I highly recommend not purchasing this guitar.

DO NOT BUY

I’m giving this one star because the body was in ok shape but the neck doesn’t even come close to fitting the inside block was 1 inch to short and almost a half inch to narrow doesn’t even look like it goes to this guitar it’s going to take massave amount of work just on the neck and as expected the electronic and hardware is cheap do not recomend shop around

Great value for the money (Cheapest Epiphone is $400 + USD and cheapest Gibson $1,600 + USD), have not finished mine, but so far everything looks great. Careful measuring and drilling is required for bridge installation and setup (recommend to use either Gibson or Epiphone guitar to check measures), I personally used my Gibson LP to get the bridge / stopbar length from nut to get correct scale. Headstock comes unfinished so I had to create a Gibson style templete to shape the headstock. Not the end of the world. It is way easier than you think. Guitar neck requires sanding to smooth out any splinters, but with fine grain sanding and testing, couldn’t be happier with the great neck feel (one of the best necks I’ve tested). Setting in the neck is easier than it seems, but not a great fit, requires fine setup. Very easy to stain and clean up binding afterwards. All hardware hole are drilled except for the bridge and stopbar. Wood grain is fantastic and looks like a more expensive product. Don’t let this fool you, it is still a pretty inexpensive wood. Haven’t tested electronics, but they seem OK since it is not intended to be a high output guitar (semihollow) since the higher the output the greater feedback generated, and thus, in my humble opinion, an expensive and sophisticated pickup/electronics hardware is not required. Bridge and stopbar seem to be good quality and sturdy (make sure to angle bridge for best results with intonation), but are actually kind of crappy. Nonetheless I used a doner guitar (old Epi I no longer used) and ended swapping the bridge. Big improvement since the stock one vibrated way too much and the fine tuning screws did not fit properly and every time I played the A and G strings open and in some frets, this vibration was massive. I strongly recomend to but a new bridge (higher quality) or use a doner guitar. Otherwise, excellent bargain and good overall quality, given the paid price.
