Was able to cut stone, but blades didn’t last very long

I have some drusy stone and wanted to cut them smaller to make some jewelry pendants. I did not read the description very well before ordering, and these blades were quite a bit smaller than I expected. If you have some big stone to cut these ones won’t be big enough to do the job. I had to cut all the way around the stone and use a chisel to break it. I was able to cut my stones, and they turned out really well, but the blades did not last very long. I had to use two blades for each stone. However, I think when it comes to cutting stone any blade does not last very long. These blades fit perfectly in my Dremel.

Cuts like a knife into butter! Great quality!

I love these things! Amazing for the price! I have been cutting bottles and making new things with them, like adaptor pieces for my distillation aparatus for essential oils. These things cut like a knife into butter! They have been lasting me a while as well. A good tip to keep them lasting a lot longer is to use water while grinding the glass. I hold the bottle in a bowl of water and cut the bottle just hovering above the water. I just stop every few seconds to rotate the bottle into the water which cools it down and let’s me keep working.

As good as lapidary diamond saw

For less than 10 bucks, you get an amazingly useful blade. I needed something to shape some rocks prior to putting them in a tumbler. I thought about buying a lapidary saw, but those cost between $500 and $1000. I already had a Dremel so I decided to order this and try it out. It worked great. I was able to cut a 1 inch protrusion from a 3 inch rock. The blade worked like magic. It did take a few minutes, but it never gave any problems and did not overheat. This is one of those rare best-value-possible on amazon.

They cut tile/ceramic like butter. Amazing

They cut tile/ceramic like butter. Amazing. But, they wear down too quickly. I had to cut about 24” of tile, and I went through all the wheels. I ended up having to take a grinder to the last inch or so. These are cheap, have diamond blades and I shouldn’t be complaining. If I had bought another set I would have been good. So I guess this one is on me, but they’re still getting 4 stars because I didn’t want to use the angle grinder. Do yourself a favor and buy two sets. Don’t be like me.

Bargain compared to Dremel’s

I was about to spend $17 for one Dremel dish at Home Depot and found this on Amazon. Decided to try it for a small price and it turned out to be a great product for a fraction of the Dremel’s price. Even if it lasts half the life of a Dremel’s, it’s still a bargain.

As described and good quality

I used this wheel to cut glass tile that was already on the wall. Worked great and 1 wheel held up while cutting about 6 inches of tile and still is good to go.

Miles better than i thought!!!

I bought this item, SE DW13 Diamond Wheel 6 Piece 18-Inch Shank, and the Dremel 545 Diamond Wheel. I need to cut a lot of Travertine, Porcelain, and Ceramic for some DIY projects and read some of the review stated that these didn’t last very long so wanted to prepared myself. Quality seem nice for the price. First started cutting the Travertine and it cut through that stuff like butter, grant this is more porous than other kinds but worked awesome. HINT!!! let the water run over the tile while you cut yes i know you ge water everywhere but heat is the enemy with any diamond blade. I use a spray end on the various settings till i found the one i liked. Took a little longer on the Porcelain and Ceramic but cut it none the less and all this with just one wheel. Also used it on a copper pipe cut it no problem. I was really shocked that i was able to use just one wheel with all of this from the reviews.

I needed to cut tile for a small project behind a utility sink. It took one wheel for each 12x12 tile, it did the job but don’t expect one wheel to go far

The Blades Rock!

These worked really great for the work I do with rocks! I like that they held up and lasted!

To Boldly Cut Where Cut-Off Wheels Have Not Been Before. Works Great for Cutting Stone

This diamond cut-off wheels work perfectly for cutting stone. Just remember to lubricate the wheels with water to keep them cool during operation.

Worked great!

Worked perfect to cut my son’s geodes. He was thrilled!

Not for cutting tile!

I had read these would cut wall tiles and they do not. Tried to save money, but it cost us extra in the end.

Either I’m extremely bad at using these

Either I’m extremely bad at using these, or they’re awful. I haven’t been able to successfully use them to date.

Works quite well. I attached it to a long extension in order to cut off a tube deep in another pipe. It took a while, but it worked.
