Package Type:Standard Packaging Arkon’s MC2B premium aluminum motorcycle handlebar mount is compatible with Garmin nuvi 40, 50, 200, 2013, 24x5, and 25x5 Series devices, as well as Garmin nuvi 1450, 1450T, 1490T, 1200, 1250, 1260T, 1300, 1350, 1350T, 1370T, and 1390T models. This mount package includes only the Premium Motorcycle Mount with 17mm Swivel Ball. (The above Garmin nuvi devices should include a 17mm swivel ball-compatible holder; replacement holders sold separately.) Available in black or chrome (see Arkon Model MC2C) finishes, the mount is made of aluminum and features a minimal but solid design. The mount fits on handlebars measuring up to 31.75mm or 1.25 inches in diameter and is easy to install with the included hex key. (Three handlebar spacer/adapter rings of different widths are also included with the mount. Choose the appropriate size for optimum mounting to your handlebar.) To use the mount with small action cameras with a 1/4”-20 camera pattern, Arkon recommends Model MC2BCAM. Or, combine the MC2B with a water-resistant case for smartphones or GPS devices with Model MC2B5WPCS. For use with Arkon universal smartphone and tablet holders with the Dual-T configuration, Arkon recommends Model MC2BSBH.

Great Product! “Expensive is cheap!”

I read a review on something completely unrelated, that review said “Expensive is cheap” - I had purchased other cheap products, those wasting time and money to end up buying something that cost a lot more than I had been willing to spend for similar items. If had had purchased this product from the beginning it would have been cheaper and I would have been happier that I found exactly what I needed.This product looks great, fits perfectly on the bar, and the Nuvi mounts snaps in perfectly as it should be. Expensive proves to be cheap when it comes to this product. Worth ever penny!

Great handlebar accessory mount.

I replaced a plastic adapter with this aluminum adapter on my motorcycle. My plastic one worked fine but it was bulky and this one is skinnier and more heavy duty.Pros:Machined aluminum, not plastic.Fits my Burly Brand Narrow Bottom Ape Hanger handlebars.Works with my Garmin GPS mount.Ball/shaft can easily be removed without removing the handlebar clamp. Different shaft lengths are available as well.Clamp comes with multiple inserts for different size handlebars.Cons:None

I am giving this 1 star as waste of my money and time

Unless I am wrong, 40mm converts to 1.57in. That is the specific reason I purchased this mount.While this mount may work very well for a handlebar that it WILL fit, it doesn’t even come close to fitting my 1.5” stock bar on a 2012 VRod.Because it says will fit a 40mm dia bar (which it simply will not), I am giving this 1 star as waste of my money and time due to mis-information.

Very good product.

I purchased this to attach my Garmin Nuvi to my Harley Davidson Heritage Classic. The item shipped with two different spacers for use with different size handlebars. I used the larger of the two and had no problem getting a tight fit to the handlebar. The round end fits the Garmin mount very well - even going over rail-road track doesn’t cause the Garmin to move out of place. The aluminum mount itself is very well made and looks good too. You can even remove the “ball” when not in use. Very good product.

I purchased this to fix a bike phone mount that was too small for my handlebars. I liked the holder (Bestrix Universal Phone Bike Mount Holder) and it did fit the standard 17mm swivel ball). There is no doubt this mount is well made and solid. The issue I had was that the shims (comes with 3) are all a hard plastic and didn’t allow for the “custom” fit I had hoped for. Had the shims been of rubber, it would have allowed more flexibility with odd sizes (most road handlebars are 31.8mm so neither the 30 or 40 really fit right). I ended up using tape to protect the bar and provide a more custom fit. Once installed, I think I could hang off this thing without it budging, it is that solid. I am concerned that the screws may not weather well and this is a tad heavier than I expected (not necessarily a bad thing unless your counting every gram on your bike), but worked well for my application.

Quality design / poor manufacturing

Overall, the design of this Garmin mount is very good. However, the size of the spherical head of the mount is ever so slightly too small. This results in the mounted GPS to swivel far too easily, almost drooping on its own. I expected a much firmer mount, where the GPS required a some bit of resistance to be moved.I will await a response from the reseller before deciding whether to return this mount to Amazon.

Top of the line GPS handlebar mount.

This it the top of the line in finish and function. I had other brand ( Ram) for a couple years and it fell short because is allowed the GPS on my cruiser to bounce around.. This solid unit is like a rock and looks good. Should be the last GPS mount I buy.

Works great. The only thing that I question if the ball size, it is a little bigger than the Garmin OEM and therefore does not click completely into the cradle. It does seem like it will hold, I am excited about this summer and being able to have my Garmin mounted on the handlebar.
