Maybe just a bad board and not reflective of the product line

Board would not operate correctly. Maybe just a bad board and not reflective of the product line. As this was for a client, I returned it and purchased another brand. I didn’t have time to make a determination about what part wasn’t working, I just needed a board that worked and I got one.

Solid Motherboard!

Overall this is a solid motherboard. It supports LGA 1151 Skylake Intel processors and has four PCIE and four DDR4 RAM slots. Its BIOS is very helpful, it detects your processor and RAM and other hardware and lets you control things like fan speed inside the case. It has plenty of USB on the side you you can plug lots into it.I have just a couple of minor complaints about it. First of all it is important to know that the bottom PCIE slot is very close to all othe the lower ports (i.e. for USB, HDAUDIO, etc) and if you were to install something large in this slot like a graphics card, the card would obstruct these other ports. When I installed the processor, I had to push really hard on the CPU socket’s retention arm to get the processor to clamp down into place, so hard that I kept thinking I was about to break it.But don’t take these criticisms to harshly - overall I am still very pleased with this motherboard and I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Does exactly what I need

ASRock does a good job at keeping their boards up-to-date with the latest tech. Their only crutch is their ability to self-update their BIOS from Internet. It doesn’t bother me too much considering you can just use a flash drive.Speed is great, aesthetically pleasing, does exactly what any normal computer user or gamer would want to do. If you want to overclock, go with a better version of this board.

Good board.

Seems to be a great board so far. Install was a bit weird as usb ports did not work until drivers were installed. Had to use PS2 port with old keyboard for installation. After installing drivers all ports worked fine.

Great board that does everything I need for a HTPC

Great board that does everything I need for a HTPC. Installed a new i5-7500 on it with some complications since it doesn’t innately support kaby lake. If you do not have the latest BIOS (7.2+) you will need to either get ASRock to send you a new chip (like I did) or install a 6th gen or compatible cpu to update and then install the new CPU. Besides that hiccup it performs perfectly.

DOA, no beeps. Ram and cpu all on ASRock compat list from their website. ALL motherboards should have diag beeps. Might never buy ASRock again.

Great board - easy setup.

so far so good - best board for price. I had a previous one fail a couple years ago and they were great with warranty. My opinion is they have the best features for the price.
