For Over The Air TV, Get An Amplified Antenna…

⁃ before buying this TV to use for (Over The Air) OTA TV viewing, go to […] or dtv.gov/maps to see what channels you get in your zip code area. OTA TV is area/region specific and signals for various TV stations vary from area to area. If your area has poor reception on the channels you are looking for, just get cable. This has nothing to do with the TV.⁃ I purchased it for OTA TV. You can use it in other ways such as viewing video through the AV cables or via USB. It also has a SD card slot. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with the latest stream sticks such as Roku, Chromecast 1st generation, Amazon fire stick and so on…⁃ As a TV, it is excellent, provides high definition content and will deliver the signal that is sent to it by the antenna, hence the need to research on your available channels in your area.⁃ The ‘high power antenna’ that they provide in the package is useless if you want to use it to get OTA channels. You have to buy another antenna. I purchased the’ 1byone’ antenna which had good reviews and is powered/amplified. Using any antenna without an amplifier will get you few channels if any.⁃ Setup is relatively easy. It comes with a set of manuals in different languages, a stand with a bottom for stability, 2 sets of ‘rabbit ears’ antennas (they don’t work, get a separate amplified antenna) AV cables and a remote control.⁃ The remote control works well as it should in close proximity.⁃ The tv has a jack for earphones. The earphones function works well but remember that the sound you will get for OTA TV will depend on how good your signal is. So, if the channel has noise or distortion, then you shall hear it in your earphones (and in the external speakers of course.⁃ The external speakers are decent, alright for this size of TV, not Dolby surround spectacular. If you want good quality sound just get external speakers and use the earphones/headphones 3.5 mm Jack.⁃ When the reception is good, the picture quality is very good, high definition like. For the price and size, you can’t complain about the picture quality.⁃ However, when the signal is poor/intermittent, the picture gets stuck on screen, has pixelation, disappears and you get a blank screen and so on and forth. It can be very frustrating.⁃ Once connected to the amplified antenna, it searches for the stations quickly and quite well. However, this is obviously linked to the antenna and not the TV itself.⁃ It has a AC/DC volt outlet charger, so you can charge it to a socket. It also comes with a car (cigarette lighter) charger, so you can plug it into your round car power socket.⁃ It has decent battery time when fully charged, about 2 hours. I would say it takes about 1 hour to fully charge. The pictures shown look a bit ‘blurred’ but that is the phone camera, not the actual picture. The actual picture is amazing!

A nice TV/DVD unit for use with 12-Volt DC or household AC

The TV is actually DC-powered only and the AC power comes from an external converter (120V A/C input, 4Amp 12Volt DC output). I tested each of the “video inputs” that I was concerned with: HDMI, DVD, Digital Cable (QAM format), and over the air Digital (ATSC). It all worked rather well. The fuse blew on the 12-Volt “auto accessory cord” and the spring that pushes the fuse got hot enough to lose its “spring”. I replaced the fuse, stretched the spring, and reinstalled it before it happened a second time. I tested the current with an ammeter while playing a DVD with volume at max and brightness at max and still only measured the current at 2.6 amps. I’m hoping that the “high current” problem was just a “low battery” at the time. ( I had 13+ Volts when I measured the current). The lesson here is to make sure that you have a well charged battery if you are running on DC power (and also to keep some 10-amp fuses handy). The nicest surprise was that the TV included a QAM tuner (digital cable). A lot of the new flat screen TVs don’t have this and if you want to use your TV on cable without a converter box you need it.The biggest “flaw” with the TV is a very low powered audio amplifier. The sound level is adequate in a quiet room but is woefully inadequate for a “moving vehicle” or even “in a camper during a rain shower”. An external sound system will need to be added for full enjoyment.Incrementally, the viewing angles need a comment. If your viewing angle is from “above” or “from the side”, the picture is still very viewable. If you are viewing “from below” the viewable angle is very limited. This is OK as long as you mount it to compensate (as an example, if you put this on top of your kitchen refrigerator, you’d want to tilt it downward).

Recommendation: do not buy

Overall, very poor. Purchased Nov 4, 2015. After one weekends use, found number of dead pixels on the screen. Supplier replaced at no cost. Now 6 months later, entire unit dead. Will not work in TV or DVD mode. Submitted request for copy of warranty to seller, got email stating warranty available at link provided. No warranty found at that link. Neither sell or manufacturer should be considered reliable. Would never recommend either.

GREAT TV PRODUCT.

Good 16” size bedside tv. Great color and hd picture. The remote is complex. Go straight to menue button to set up tv. The intergrateddvd pyer works perfectly. Be sure the dvd is facing front. The VERY SMALL red button is the dvd eject button. Press the REPEAT button to select picture play mode. This dvd player will start up where it was .eject button. Press the REPEAT button to select play

Fantastic Little TV, just what I wanted.

I purchased the 13.3 inch unit with built in DVD player to replace my old 22 inch Television with a DVD player connected to it. It has been in use at least 4 hours a day on the average and it has held up wonderfully!! I have not tried it in my truck yet but then again a Television in the front seat is illegal so….I do not regret for one second this purchase and will leave additional information in the future should any new information develop.

NOT A MOUNTABLE TV!!!

THIS TV DOES NOT HAVE A WALL MOUNT COMPATIBLE. If you are intending to mount this TV, there is no wall mount compatible. What a waste of money!
