Platform:PlayStation 4 Batman: Arkham VR immerses you in the Dark Knight’s Universe and redefines what it means to be the Batman. Experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World’s Greatest Detective in an all new Arkham mystery
Wow. This game blew me away. The graphics were stunning and I felt I was truly looking at the DC characters I was standing next to. Yes it is short, but as a launch title, especially for something like VR it’s a great demo of what VR can do, and hence the $19.99 price tag. There was one particular moment while in the morgue where I actually thought to myself “Wow, this is the future!” (The puzzle right before you leave the morgue).I felt truly immersed and this literally took me to a whole new world. I was IN Gotham. The story is very, very short but intriguing and you want to know what happens next. Once the game was over and I removed the headset, I understood that I had completely mentally left actual reality. It was almost like waking up from a dream. This will be interesting to see how the brain takes all this in over time, to really feel like you are somewhere else. It made me think of the Matrix, when Morpheus answers Neo’s question “is this real?” Overall, this is the best VR experience I’ve had yet. Bring on more Rocksteady… please!!!
One of the most unique and amazing VR experiences I’ve had yet. Definitely not a long “game” but worth checking out. Think of it more as an interactive movie with some game elements/puzzles. If you are a Batman fan, absolutely worth checking out.
Very cool, especially if you take your time and really lean in and around to look at all the details. There are some scenes that will absolutely blow your mind. I hope they add some content to this release or make another experience that’s longer because I really enjoyed being in this world. It’s a hybrid TellTale game in a way, or an extremely interactive play your own story adventure. The details of all the environments and character models, in 3D, are just amazing. For the price, though it’s short, is worth the experience of being the Bat even for a little bit.
As others have said, it’s short. I can’t imagine how much time went into making it so I can understand why it is so short. You can extend the game by solving other puzzles, but the main game can be done in about half an hour. Of course the VR with this is amazing. My husband got to live his dream of finally becoming Batman!!
LOVE THIS GAME! Love the VR experience altogether, but this game adds so much more to excitement and fun. Our 8 year old son was amazed by the quality and graphics of it, and he can’t stop raving about it to his friends. Seriously, if you plan to get the PS4 VR, this is a MUST HAVE… You won’t regret it!
Very cool game that keeps up the atmosphere and feel of the Rocksteady Arkham games. Pretty short, but for the price, the experience is more than worth it. There’s also Riddler challenges after you finish the game once, so there’s replay value. One thing I recommend doing is playing the game standing up when it gives you the option. I played sitting down and the arm rests on my couch interfered with the space where I needed to reach my Move controllers to pick up items. Playstation VR is the real deal and this game is an excellent experience to showcase it.
This is a fun VR game but a little boring for my taste. BUT for the price point it’s priced right and if I didn’t experience such motion sickness over 20 minutes playing VR games I am sure I would like it more. It is super short though but has great realistic graphics and I feel like I am Batman. The story line is easy to follow and for a “introduction” type game it’s worth the $20 I paid for.
Great introduction to PlayStation VR, I have both the Htc vice, the oculus rift and now the PlayStation VR. I can honestly say this game has been the best VR game I’ve played on any VR unit, it can be played both sitting and standing and both the sound and video quality are great and so far really enjoying the game and the story, still have yet to beat the game but for $20 bucks I was extremely satisfied with the overall game so far.
love batman so much i had to play this game. i played all of the Arkham game’s and had to get it to go with my play station vr head set.
ok
Great game and example of what you can do with VR. I am disappointed however that they blank out the screen instead of showing you what it feels like to grapple to the Batwing or…
Seems more like a detective puzzle game and less like an exciting action game. Very slow. I was bored very quickly and lost interest. I will say graphics was amazing.
I’m batman! I liked the game a lot!
Short. On rails. Great concept bu just that. More of a proof of concept for VR. But hey, for the price, it’s worth the demo
Although the game is a bit short- it is an amazing experience and worth every penny. If you are just getting into PSVR, this is a must buy and shows what the system can do.
Great graphics but shorter than expected. Replay value is in finding the hidden extras but can get repetitive quickly. Overall great use of the VR set
The best VR game I’ve played
comments powered by DisqusThe story is great; it incorporates the detective elements that are familiar to players of the Arkham series, but doesn’t have the fighting elements.
