Series-FE Premium HDMI Cable, 12 foot: Certified to 18 Gbps for full-bandwidth 4K performance

HDMI version 2.0 increased the bandwidth of HDMI to a maximum of 18 Gbps, to allow high-framerate 4K video. Conventional high-speed testing, however, tests cables only out to 10.2 Gbps; HDMI Licensing’s new Premium HDMI Cable certification tests all the way to the 18 Gbps limit, and Blue Jeans Cable was among the first cable manufacturers to meet this exacting standard.

As a Premium HDMI Cable, this cable comes with the official Premium HDMI label – beware of imitators who call their cables “premium” but whose products do not bear the scannable, validated Premium sticker.

I’ll be buying Blue Jeans Cables again

I needed a 12 foot HDMI cable to connect my gaming laptop to my 47 inch LG TV, I read up on HDMI cables at Blue jeans’ website and came to Amazon to purchase them. The cable work just as I expected it to, flawlessly! My older first-person shooter games like Left 4 Dead 2 looked extremely smooth on the TV, there was no smearing or artifacting at all; less demanding games like Minecraft also displayed beautifully on my TV. The other half of HDMI is audio, and the audio from my laptop sent to the TV was true to what it was suppose to sound like, there were no issues at all, it just worked.For those who has never heard of Blue Jeans Cable, they are a smaller manufacturer of audio/video cables. They offer really good cables for a reasonable price, the company is privately owned and in my opinion highly ethical in how they conduct business.As an aside, Blue Jeans Cable is also a feisty company. When most smaller companies receive a “cease and desist”/“patent infringement” letter (IMHO an extortion letter) from Monster Cable the smaller companies usually rollover and cough up money to make Monster’s lawyers go away, not so with Blue Jeans Cable’s president Kurt Denke, prior to becoming president of Blue Jeans Cable he was a litigation attorney (trial lawyer) for 19 years, Monster just picked on the wrong company. If you are interested to learn how “David” handled this modern day extortionist/bully “Goliath” that is Monster Cable just Google “blue jeans cable response letter to monster cable” it’s the first result.

Great company cables

These are solid good cables. I was interested in them for their difference in construction. I don’t know if there is a difference yet, but I have been trying a variety of cables just to see. Because of their constructions, I have been buying these for the most part. The Blue Jeans Cable company is great and have much more than just hdmi cables, check out their website. Good information provided to the consumer. Amazon doesn’t have their Cat cables, but from the company I purchased the cat6a to size I needed and they are great. Order the size and color, love the color for knowing what goes to what. Good contact when asking questions too.

Twelve foot version does not work at 18. 2 …

Twelve foot version does not work at 18.2 Gbps (4K HDR with a Samsung OLED using various source devices and Marantz AV8802A). Had to drop down to a 6 foot version.

Issues at 4K/60Hz HDR

I bought this for connecting an OPPO UDP-203 directly to an LG OLED (2016 G6P model). The stock cable that comes with the OPPO performs without any noticeable issues to date.
