Awesome Toaster - Read This!

Unfortunately this toaster has received some poor reviews and I thought I would buy this from a local store and write a review here on how I thought this toaster performs.1) Cord Issues. There are several reviews that say the cord comes out the front. Well, thats not entirely accurate because the toaster feartures a cord wrap around structure on the bottom. So, you wrap it half way around and it comes out the back. Easy. 5 of 5 stars2) Crumb Tray. The tray is designed to open by sliding it forward, and then pushing it closed. Once a person understands that, it works just fine with no issues and does not open on its own. 5 of 5 stars.3) Toasting. There are no issues at all, works just like it should. In fact, it toasts very evenly, much more even than my last $100 toaster. 5 of 5 stars.4) Not Heavy. This toaster feels very light. I suppose that’s how they lowered the cost of shipping them from China to the USA. I don’t have a problem with that. 5 of 5 stars.5) Looks. Its awesome looking! 5 of 5 stars6) Controls. The toaster has a cancel button which stops it from toasting and pops up the toast. You can’t use the handle for this. I suppose the reason is because the toaster is so light, you would flip it around if you weren’t careful. I like the button. 5 of 5 starsREAD MORE

Great toaster for the price

PROS:- The toaster is extremely light, which is great for me, as I don’t have a lot of space in my kitchen and I often need to store it away.- The crumb tray makes removing crumbs from the toaster super easy.- Thanks to its design, this toaster looks much more expensive than it actually is.CONS:- There is no way to tell if the bagel and frozen features are on or off as there is no feedback when you push the buttons.- The plastic at the top heats up quite a bit, pay attention!- You can easily remove crumbs, thanks to the tray but, if you have cheese or larger pieces of breads stuck inside, you are out of luck.- The toasting is not always uniform. This is not a big deal for me, as I like my bread lightly toasted.

Push the lever down and shortly after that toast pops out. Some kind of voodoo magic working here.

Everything I expected.

Thus far, this toaster has been working up to par and as expected. I like the classy look. I didn’t even need to change the settings it was on (it recommends to try it as they have it set and then if you need to, to adjust). I have not done large things (i.e. bagels), but it’s been perfect for my toast. The crumb cleaner/drainer things at the bottom works very nicely and I’m sure if I can find some of that computer air spray that people use for their keyboards I can clean the top groves even better to keep it looking really nice. Glad I purchased.Updateas of 5/8/15. About 5 days after the 30 day return policy I was unable to make any toast. I would push the lever down and it would pop back up. I tried maneuvering settings and just trying it different pressures to see if it was just a glitch, but it wouldn’t come to life. I knew it was out of the 30 days, but I contacted Amazon anyway, spoke with a live person and was able to return my product for a new one. I have not started using the toaster as of yet, due to a series of events. I will update if anything happens again. Seems like a decent product, just maybe got a bad one. Amazon is the best. Keep it up :)Updateas of 8/5/15: this is still going and works like I expect a toaster to work. I am grateful it’s still working after my breakdown earlier this year. I would buy again. Plastic isn’t only for fast food containers & garbage bags

Well built and near perfect operation. I know that plastic is better than metal in many manufacturing applications. There are many uses for plastics other than fast food containers and garbage bags (same use)This is our first wide slot toaster and it will replace a toaster oven that was only used the heat/toast length wise sliced baguettes for our steak sandwiches.This toaster very good control over toast darkness and toasts the same on both sides, the power cord is long enough for our kitchen and it doesn’t have that ugly all stainless steel look.

Good, inexpensive toaster

I am generally not a toast eater. I bought this as I’m having some house guests, and want to be able to serve a full breakfast, which, of course includes toast. I have used it twice….trial runs….and it produced a hot, medium toasted product on the #3 setting. It will live in it’s box in the pantry most of the time, but I’m happy to have it for use on occasions.

Fantastic value at a low price

I bought this for the house I just moved into, since we didn’t have a toaster already. If you aren’t specifically looking for fancy features or higher capacity, this is the perfect choice. It does what it needs to do, and after some experimentation with the dial, I can get my morning bagels toasted just like I’m used to with this thing.

Did not last long

It’s a toaster. I didn’t expect much, but, now it is October, 2017 and it is not working well. The level of toasting that I get at a setting is variable now. I mean, if it’s on medium, sometimes that’s fine, sometimes it’s not enough, sometimes it is burned. I suppose it is planned obsolescence. But I ordered a different brand.
