The brackets are designed to mount flush to the wall so your speakers won’t be more than 0.4in away from the wall’s edge. It mounts to all types of surfaces including masonry, wood and dry wall.

Great but contradictory
The brackets work great but the do not conform to the instructions of the Soundtouch 300. The soundtouch 300 specifically states do not place or mount the bar with less then 1⁄2 inch clearance from the rear to any opposing surface, and these brackets do not provide that. but with a small plywood spacer between the wall and the bracket that can be acheived.
Love my sound bar
This is great. Works well. It would be nice if Bose would have considered some of the plug and unplug functions. You have to unscrew the bar to plug things in. It would also be great if it had a level that integrated with the template like my TV mount did. I hung two of these in my house so it was time consuming but well worth it. They sound freeking great.
Sleek look
Hard time finding sturdy vertical bars to attach sound bar with Bose wall brackets. I did not want to use something that did not have exact hole match with holes on Bose. have a 4 way pivotable extendable TV wall mount. Thanks to my handy neighbor’s idea Ended up buying 2 metal L shaped bars at HD and the brackets lined up perfectly w/tv and bose brackets. Better greater stable set up then using other brand name TV speaker mounts and will not have to worry about invalidating bose warranty or my dogs knocking anything over. I plan to paint 2 bars black to match bose brackets. Nice sleek look because soundbar sits flush with TV front w/ 1 1⁄2 space in between.

If you put too close to the wall the sound bar losé bass effect the have to fix that problem

Pricey for a bracket
Like a glove
This adapter fits like a glove. I Installed the SoundBar in about 15 minutes. Instructions were clear and on point. Bose always does a great job with their products.
