The Dexter Industries breadboard adapter is a full assembled adapter for the LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT. This is a breakout board for the LEGO Mindstorms cables. Never struggle to find some 82k resistors for your project again: the adapter comes with built in 82k resistors. The entire adapter comes fully assembled: no soldering required.

Worked like a charm
I needed to make a custom lighting board (Powered by an Arduino) that was interfaced with the NXT. This saved me a bit of trouble getting things hooked together. (Dexter makes excellent NXT lights here on Amazon, but I needed 300 lights, and that would have been just a tiny bit expensive)I wish Dexter had a bit more information on the product on their website. It was unclear which way the DIP switches needed to go for the pull-up resisters to be active. Also, the only documentation is in a blog post, that was not linked to the product page. The sample code was for Robot-C only, I had to reverse engineer the NXC equivalents.Bear in mind that this is a product for makers, so the above is a suggestion for improvement, not complaints. This saved me a ton of time. I had the Arduino communicating within the first 30 minutes, and this is my first ever Arduino project.
Add an arduino to your mindstorms robot!
I used this adapter to add an arduino to my Mindstorms robot.Good how-to instructions on Dexter’s web page. One thing that was hard to find was the purpose of the dip switches on the board. They enable pullups and are not needed for some Arduinos. (e.g. Leonardo)

Does not work! I wrote the problem on the Dexter forum, they asked me to describe the configuration, I replied, but after eight days I have received no help.
