    Product Description

The Brinno TLC200 is a new class of camera designed to make HD time lapse photography simple, yet it has the flexibility to change lenses and custom program time intervals for the serious time lapse movie maker. The TLC200 has advanced power management, providing months of battery life for extended duration capture periods. It even has an optional external shutter release for creating stop action movies (model ATS100 Shutter Release Cable, sold separately). The 1.44 inch LCD preview screen allows for accurate targeting of subjects and precise framing of scenes. The interest in time lapse photography has been growing steadily in recent years, as shown by the vast numbers of time lapse movies being posted to video sharing sites. In the past the user had to use an expensive digital camera making the camera unavailable for normal use while making the movie; but not any longer. To use the TLC200, simply turn it on, set a time interval, aim the camera and wait for the video to finish. The TLC200 can be mounted on a tripod or simply set on a flat surface. An optional wide angle lens is also available (model ATL045, sold separately). Output format: AVI (video), JPEG (still image mode using optional shutter line). Resolution: 1280 x 720, 640 x 480.Field of view: 59 degrees. Focal length: 36mm (35mm equivalent). Focus distance: 29.5 inches (75cm). Minimum time interval: 1 second to 24 hours. Memory storage: 2GB SD card, included (supports up to 32GB). LCD screen: 1.44 inch TFT LCD. Power source: batteries, 4xAA (included) or DC in 5 volts (micro USB connector, not included).

Product Reviews

Very Nice, Simple Camera

I have used the TLC200 for a couple of week so far and really like it. I have wanted a simple way to take time lapse videos since seeing some in early Disney programs. Since my time as a USAF weather forecaster, I have been interested in cloud development and this camera is great for that. Setting up the camera takes a few button pushes because of the very limited number of buttons, but the menu is easy to learn in about 5 minutes. Simple multiplication and division is enough to set the image capture rate and display frame rate. You will develop a feel for the best settings in just a few short trial runs. Storing digital video sequences on a computer is very simple, especially if the memory IC fits directly in your computer, as mine does. One of these days, I’ll try the other two functions supported by the camera: stop motion photography and motion-cued video. I was able to order batteries for it directly from SAFT on the internet at low cost.It is a great buy and a lot of fun..

Love It - Time Lapse Made Simple

I really love this camera. It makes time lapse simple and it is almost impossible to make mistakes with it. Just load batteries and an SD card and press record. Pictures come off of the SD card stitched together in movie format, ready to play. I can’t believe how easy it is to use.You can change settings on quality and how often it takes pictures. Batteries last for 6 weeks at a time when I have it set to take pictures every 30 seconds. A 32 GB SD card lasts at least 6 weeks as well. I am sure that the batteries and SD run down faster when taking pictures more frequently and at different resolutions, though, so don’t use my experience as a guide unless you have the same settings.

Cute specialized photo equipment…

Works as advertised, it works and delivers. If people complaining about quality, well if you want professional quality spend the money get a DSLR with lens’s and everything. This delivers exactly what they promise 720P video time lapse I got the trigger to do stop motion and it does it decent enough. If you just want to get a taste this is perfect, me and my son gonna have years of enjoyment playing together with it

This camera is a one and done movie maker!!!

It has so many options and settings, it is unbelievable. It worked perfect for my project. I didn’t get much time to play around with it first, but I followed the suggestions in the literature, and my movie came out good. Next time I will set it to take a picture every 10 minutes instead of 30 minutes. All in all, you can not beat this camera. Simply take out the SD card when done, plug into your device, and enjoy the show!

seems perfect if you really just want straight forward time lapses

Very simple, does everything I need it to. It doesn’t fill up the SD card very quickly and batteries last a long time. The view screen is a little hard to see in full sunlight. Also, things are a little washed out with direct sunlight. Otherwise, seems perfect if you really just want straight forward time lapses.

This is a nice camera for time lapse

This is a nice camera for time lapse. What is a drawback is that the video tends to be out of focus and fuzzy. There does not seem to be any way to adjust that so I can only assume the factory set focus is off.

Durable, great battery, quality video

This camera is highly customizable, can be mounted to a standard tripod mount - including a suction cup window mount - and can run for a REALLY long time on the AA batteries. We ran this camera at 10 minute intervals for almost two months and the batteries show now use at all. It’s spendy, but it’s worth it if you need to make frequent time lapse shots.

Great Value for Time Lapse videos.

Good Video reproduction, very easy to learn how to program, best feature of all is the ability to program hourly periods for each day so memory is not wasted on known inactive periods.

The design is quite good and comfortable, it looks great, very suitable for me.I use a period of time, feel with this thing is very convenient, if I will need to come again next time.

After I bought it and use, there no problems, I believe it is very durable. Now I am ordering again, to give my girlfriends, I’m sure she’ll like it.

Easy to use and great quality for the price

There is no indication that it is on or taking pictures and trying to set it up is like trying to scroll through your MP3 player

You have no idea if it’s work or not until it’s too late. Just lost a month of excavation work for no aparent reason.

Awesome camera!! Perfect for artist!

Leaks in cover.

Even in the weather proof cover moisture got in the battery compartment and killed the batteries in two weeks.

Great tech support from Brinno!

Excellent for time lapse photography of our garden in heavy growth period. We had a little trouble loading the month long image file on our mac computer, but Lisa at Brinno/Phase…
