Very disappointed

Like most, I cannot get this thing to connect to my router. I actually see it grab an IP address on my router, but the app says it cannot find the device. Yes I disabled 5GHZ, yes I tried different channels on 2.4, yes I reset and tried many times, yes I am using the correct IHC app still no luck. I consider myself very familiar setting up things on my Network, plugged or wireless, but this thing just will not work. Sending back today. Was really hoping this thing would work…Update: 7/31/2017Before finally deciding to send back, I changed my Wifi password and was able to finally add it to my Network. My old password was simple and only included letters and numbers and only 10 characters long. Changing the password was a pain, now have to change password on all my other devices. I will bump review a few stars because it works as expected though limited which was my original expectation. I am just hoping they expand on it’s use more with updates.

Will not work with new Samsung UHD TV except for on/off. Does connect to Alexa. Logitech better

did not work with new samsung UHD tv. The only function it would learn is on and off. The Samsung TV standard controls is not included as one of the standard controls packages. So you have to rely on it learning from your Samsung remote control. it would only learn to turn the tv on and off. I give it two stars because it might work better in the future and it also did work with Alexa, but only to turn the TV on and off.So I returned it. Instead I got the cheapest logic Tech which was about $85 and also includes a physical remote control.It works perfectly with my new Samsung TV.

Works as expected

Have had a RM mini 3, so I already knew how this worked. Bought this because of its RF remote. The setup process is as same as of the RM mini 3. Like RM mini 3, it also works with both IHC and e-contro apps. It works with my 433M remote control light sockets with no issues, but 315M doesn’t seem to work any more. Still figuring the best way to work with Alexa since there are official way and many third party ways. Give 5 stars for now as it works.

Poorly designed.

What kind of company would design an internet of things device that cant use special characters in the wifi ssid or password. The usage of special characters helps to keep the device secure.I also ran in to issues with the app. It makes you register to use and the email code does not work. Had to give them a phone number to activate.

I’m getting lazy

Pretty cool once you figure it out. Alexa will turn on off. It will do a lot more depending on what appliances you program into it.I have to figure out why I ask Alexa to tv volume up and she also turns up loudly.Besides that you can use it as a smart remote too.

Save your money for something that works

Well… We’ll see what response I get from the company but I opened the box, downloaded the app as instructed, powered up the remote and the app won’t download the “scrip”. They can’t even spell script right. I’ll give ‘em a day to get back to me to explain it. My network is 2.4gHz and 5.0 gHz and they both run simultaneously so that’s not the reason. I’ll adjust my rating if they can resolve the issue.

Good with IR, Failed with RF

Product did not work with RF appliances. I had RF plugs, lights and fans I bought this device to work with. I thought capturing the RF signals and replicating them were straightforward. None of these RF devices worked despite many attempts, experimentation and research. To be fair, it captured the IR signals easily. But since my purpose was for the RF devices, I am sending this back.

Good Idea, Wished it worked!

Really wanted this to work! Connected once and three days later stopped working. Tried many times to reinstall and would not find device. Tried to go to company website and it wasn’t there. Got tired of fooling with it and sent it back. Great idea if they can get and keep it working!
