Yes, I Needed One of These
Yes, it is hard to believe that anyone would need one of these in this day and time. Still, I have an amateur radio that requires a COM port connection. I had a Serial cable, but the genders would not match. Thus, the need for this little adapter. It works great.
Nice, but I wish the screw terminals were not there
Nice, but would be nice if you could remove the screw terminals. Have some male cables that have female screw terminals as well, and the plugs do not mate well as a result. Removing the terminals is not an option, as they are holding the jacket of the plug on.

Not much to say, it did what I needed it to do. Note this is not a null modem adapter, just a simple straight through gender changer.Screws can be removed from the sides if they get in your way, or just the nuts from one side if you need male threads on one side like I did…

I had to remove the nuts so that it can fit my device and also beware pins 1 - 5 are not on the direct opposite side, they are on the bottom row while pins 6 - 9 are on the top…
