The Camelbak bottles has been the best investment for my husband and i when cycling. We spent so much money on regular water bottles but when drinking from them, you would always have to suck the water out and it was just a hassle and time consuming. We love these bottles because with one squeeze, we get a mouth full of water without sucking on it. That makes it so much easier for us when we need to get a quick drink. Also, we love that the size of these bottles are a little bit smaller than your average bottle. Much much easier to hold in your hand.
I thought this was the Big Chill insulated bottle…my fault for not reading the description. I have the Big Chill and this one and don’t notice a huge difference in how they keep water cold. I also don’t find that either sweat with cold water. I don’t put ice in this one, just cold water, so that probably changes things. It’s a smaller bottle, but is really a good size for throwing in a backpack when going on excursions or even a purse when you need water in a heat wave. It fits in all the shelves in our fridge and of course in cup holders in the car. My only caution would be that the valves can be tricky to clean, so get the cleaning brushes too. Oh yeah…best feature is the valve! It has NEVER leaked in a backpack, purse or rolling around on the car floor or trunk. You can also drink it upside down…even laying in bed or tanning if that’s your thing.
My search is over. I kept trying to find a water bottle that wouldn’t leak. I found some with tight caps, but somehow they always managed to get jiggled off or something in my bag or in the car. The last one I loved was great–until I dropped it and the hard plastic it was made out of broke. A friend recommended this one to me. I love the size–24 ounces is a good amount of water: not too small and not too large. I love the flow—I actually feel like I tend to drink more water with this bottle (a good thing for me). Finally, I love that it DOES NOT leak. It doesn’t taste or smell like plastic either. I know, I know–we should all go for glass water bottles, right? I’m sorry—I’m choosing convenience this time. I think the amount of water I drink when I have a water bottle that doesn’t spill and tastes good and doesn’t break when I drop it overrides the possible health issues stemming from drinking from plastic. Nuff said.
LOVE these bottles. They are more compact for my lunch bag and to use daily, but they are too big around for my bike bottle cages. I’m still super happy with the purchase. Now we use these for walks or around the house or driving instead of using my cycling size bottles. Holds so much liquid for it’s height. And of course you just can’t go wrong with Camelbak quality.
Love these water bottles. I purchased 4 of them, which I fill up with tap water and leave in the fridge. I washed them in the dishwasher upon receiving them, and have been using them for several days now, and they are fantastic. So far no strange tastes like some other bottles I had. Also, I really love the Jet Valve, or whatever it is. No leaking, even if I hold the bottle upside down. To drink you sort of just tilt the bottle up and give it a light suck, or you can give the bottle a bit of a squeeze. They have a wide enough base to not easily tip over and feel pretty sturdy, and once when I did manage to slap it and knock it onto my keyboard, not a single drop of water went on the keyboard. Super happy with these!
This is perfect versatile size bottle for traveling; it fits in my backpack’s side pouch, in the bottle holder in the door or center console of my car. When traveling with it in my backpack, I’ll go through airport security with it empty, I then fill it up at a drinking fountain once I’m through. It has worked out well all around for me so far.
I ordered one of these, and Amazon sent me a case of 6.I currently already own a few, and this is a great water bottle with one major disadvantage- you want to have a couple and switch off every couple days, or wash them frequently, because if you wear lip balm or lipstick the little silicone cup will begin to harbor mold. I usually just toss the lids in a bowl of cold water with a little splash of bleach for 15 minutes or so before throwing them in the dishwasher. Viola! No mold. The mouthpiece is spill proof, extremely convenient, and great for bikers. My girlfriend loves them for her bike and her car, because they never spill.
For the price premium vs a ‘normal’ water bottle, this is definitely a good deal. I really like the valve mechanism that removes the need for popping the top, yet still allows for a secure leak proof full closure if you are just transporting the bottle with liquid in it.Particularly in the case of an sport when you are drinking on the go, like cycling, removing an extra step before drinking is great. In addition, because the bottle requires pressure to open the valve, water comes out fast, allowing you to get as much water as you want in the smallest amount of time. This lets you get back into your rhythm with minimal disruption. One tip - squeeze the bottle from the bottom portion, not the ‘thumb indents’ around the neck. The lower portion is a little less rigid so the water comes out easier.
Perfect. Exactly what I needed.Thank you!
Great bottle for smaller frame bikes.
Great becuase they don’t leak if get tipped over. They are great on a bike and the only water bottle we give our toddler. Easy enough for her to use and no mess.
This bottle is fine design for activities like running. However, for sports or biking I would not get this particular model.
A great bottle that easy to grip and easy to secure lock to drink or stop leaking. Easy to clean and resilient during physical activities.
Good product. I recommended to everyone.
Use it all the time. Won’t spill.
its good for short rides, but id recommend a hydration pack for longer rides, will take some weight off the bike as well.
Shorter than I thought it would be - I matches my 24oz so I use it.
