if you have a closed case you totally need these.

if the outside is a little cold or has been raining you can get fog inside of your camera. Or if you uses it for a long period it gets warm and your videos eventually be bluerred by the fog like these […] is one hour of MTB filmed on a SONY action cam and by the 31 minute the fog ruined the video. BUT after buying these inserts i don’t get these problem anymore nor even in the beach or hot rainy days. Totally recommended

Works as described, Well worth the money and no fog

I’m very happy we purchased these for a recent trip to Hawaii. I know we would be using the GoPro (3+Silver) quite a bit for snorkeling and boogie boarding. I used two as described for all day use and didn’t have any fogging. On one occasion I forgot to add these and regretted it half way through the day when slight fogging appeared on the lens. I made sure to add the inserts every time after that.Only one down side to these is that they make it slightly tough to remove the GoPro from the case. The side insert is in pretty snug, so it takes some effort to get it all back out. Well worth the low cost investment though.

A must buy!

These are amazing!!!! They take the fog right out of all of my videos on my action cam. I would dread watching my underwater footage seeing fog and unclear image. I would be so bummed. But this really did the trick and you can see it expanding overtime and collecting the moisture. I only wish they were individually packaged.

Great Product: Silica Gel Should Be Jeal-ous

Outstanding. They are very thin – like a mm or so. I do not know the chemistry of CamKix, but they absorb moisture very aggressively. They can be regenerated, but at a temperature much lower than silica gel (which requires 105C = 221F). You can almost hear them slurping up moisture. They are vaguely moist to the touch after 5 or 10 min exposed to the air. They can easily be cut with scissors. This makes them handy for hard-to fit application, since they can be modified to fit the available space. Cut them ahead of time: they will get wet while handling them and you should regenerate them after cutting and before use.

I didn’t have any moisture problems with my GoPro on a recent vacation where the camera was transitioning between air conditioned rooms and cars to a humid outside environment, and then to underwater. Very happy

It seems to work. It is a one time use pack, for me.

Not too impressed by this pack. I bought it because the gopro ones were out of stock.The price is about the same. These don’t come in a re-sealable pack, so when they’re opened - they’re all open.not a big deal if you happen to have an air tight moisture proof bag with you… I guess.They get kinda mushy when they are used. It’s a bit scary having them in the box with the camera, and not knowing if I’m going to have to clean some weird residue off of the camera (and wondering if it will come off.)

Simple but useful product

I used them with my SJ4000. 3 fit inside the waterproof case: two on the bottom and one on top. At the end of a warm day at a waterpark, I pulled them out and they were obviously moist which means they did their job of absorbing the dampness that would have been condensation in the case. Later, I followed the instructions and baked them in the oven and returned them to the case. My only small complaint is the way they come packaged. They are vacuum packed in groups of 5 which means when you open them two go unused and therefore are sitting in my camera bag gathering moisture and useless. I think they should come packed in two’s or three’s which would be helpful. For the price, unbeatable.

I purchased these for a 30 to 40 dive. Unfortunately that dive didn’t happen, but the inserts fit well and did prevent fogging while snorkeling.
