Fits our Canon SX700 Very Well

I ordered this case for my wife’s new Canon SX700 camera, based upon several reviews that it fit the camera very well. It was all true. The camera fits in well, attaches to the belt, and is vertical when on your belt so it is less likely to catch on your car seat or other places when wearing.

While I was glad to see Amazon had Canon’s official case in stock, the positive comments pretty much end there. Despite being the recommended case for my Canon PowerShot SX710 HS, the fit is terrible: the case is too big, and the boxy look isn’t all stylish. Even more unfortunate, though, are the materials used: while this case’s predecessor, the PSC-3200, was made entirely of a supple, high-quality leather, this one is mostly made of ballistic nylon. The flap and back of the case are made of leather so cheap that I almost wish the whole case were nylon.If you’ve never seen the excellent case this one replaces, you may be satisfied, but to me it just reeks of cut corners.

Excellent for casual use

I purchased this for a Canon PowerShot SX730 Digital Camera, and it fits snugly but safely. The magnetic clip is nice, but tends to pop open with rough use. The camera never once came out, but it worried me. This case should not to be used in high-pickpocket areas, as it is just too easy to open on your belt, but for outdoor hiking this is perfect. No extra room at all for spare sd cards or battery, so don’t expect to just squeeze them in. Nevertheless, this a really nice case. I felt that my camera was well-protected from bumps while in it.

Excellent Case, Protective and Light, Fits Canon PS SX700 HS Perfectly

Very minimalist case, with just enough space to fit my Canon SX700 to make it in and out of the case with no effort. Quality is outstanding, with a letter upper flap and high quality mesh thick nylon-like fabric on the rest, which makes it very light, contrary to my last Canon case made all of leather and it was on the heavy side. Fabric seems very resistant, difficult to pierce or rip. The flap also has a hole on top to get the wristband trough, although at least on the SX700 it can easily go via the open spaces on the side. The closing mechanism uses a strong magnet button that won’t allow the camera to get out of the case no matter how hard you shake it or flip it. Metal made Canon logo gives it a very nice, professional touch, and the case has a band on the back to hang it to a beltOn the inside, it is well cushioned and supportive, all around the interior, including the flap. It doesn’t matter in which direction you put the camera in as the protection is the same all around. If you have a Canon SX700 or a camera with the same dimensions, this is the perfect case

Does the job and priced fairly!

Works great for our new Canon PowerShotSX710/HS. Used it on our 17 day Europe trip in May. Added a small thin foam block (maybe ¹⁄₄” thick) at the bottom of the case so the camera didn’t flip around inside. Belt loop great help and magnetic flap ensured the case stay closed when walking around. Hard to say much about a case but it worked well for us. Good quality, fair price, no issues

Don’t really like the product so much

Merchant sent it promptly and well packaged. Don’t really like the product so much. It is well made though, using good materials and good workmanship. But it is bulky for the camera - no snag fit. And the magnetic clasp does not stay closed. I understand it is just the same as Canon recommends, but I will look for the 3rd party case that fits my Powershot SX720 HS camera better.

Works great for Canon SX710 camera!

Fits my Canon SX710 perfectly. Case seems well made–it is not nearly as “soft” as I had thought it would be. The back and cover is a hard vinyl/leather-like material while the front, pouch type area is a thick, stiff mesh/webbing type material. It does have a loop for a belt on the back. The inside of the case is lightly padded and soft. The snap is a magnetic closure. There is a space between the cover and the camera “pouch” meaning that you would not be able to put other small items into the case, as they would fall out through the top, but it holds the camera securely, which is all I really care about. Amazon’s price is way cheaper than you would find on the manufacturer’s website.

It is too simplistic. While it fits into the belt, the camera is a bit small for it and there are no additional places for additional chips, etc.

Soft, Supple and Sucky

The magnetic snap on this case is looser than a Kardashian’s interpretation of tasteful. I would assume this to be Canon’s most highly recommended case so they can sell you two…
