Great hard case for the price

Great hard case for the price. The CaseMatix travel case is a very lightweight shell that will provide moderate protection for your gear. I use it to hold a small MEVO camera and accessories. Its prefect for protecting the camera (or other gear) when I toss it in my car or truck, or when I put in I’m checked bags for a flight. This is definitely NOT a “Pelican Case”. Pelican cases can be run over by a truck and are fully waterproof. The Casematix case is not waterproof, and will only protect gear from light crush weight. For example, the Casematix is probably strong enough that I could sit on without damage, but it would crush if I jumped on it, and deform if I stepped on it.The only reason that I give it 4 starts instead of 5, is that CaseMatix should have put a rubber seal around the lid. That little improvement would make the case much more water resistant, and maybe even provide some protection to being submerged. As it currently stands, the lid is just plastic on plastic, which will protect the contents from splashes, but not submersion.If you’re looking to protect your gear from everyday use, to ship it by placing this case in a sturdy shipping box, or to check in baggage on an airline - this case will do an amazing job for you. But if you want to protect your gear from harsh conditions, or heavy duty shipping, get a Pelican case…
