Finderscope - 5x24
Style:50AZ Refractor Celestron PowerSeeker 50 Astronomical Telescope 21039
Excellent beginner’s telescope. I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. He was thrilled. We had a clear starry night, saw lots of constellations and even got a glimpse of Venus and Mars. I would have rated it 5 stars if the instructions had been better written. They were very vague and left a lot for your imagination. Other than that, it was good value for the money.
Great for the price! Bought for my 4 year old who wanted to learn about the stars! Will have to upgrade to a better one if this is something he gets into when he is older but excellent starter telescope!
I am very satisfied with my Celestron PowerSeeker 50 AZ Refractor Telescope. Although I am a complete beginner my desire of observing the sky, the Moon, some planets and more have been always on my mind since I was a small child. The product is great and for being the first of the list this telescope is a nice item, and I will start my observing trip with it!!!
I bought this telescope for $40 and it has been fantastic!! Clear images, easy set up, it is a great product for the proce
I bought this telescope for my niece’s birthday because she loves anything relating to science. My sister just sent me a text saying they saw Saturn and Jupiter. My niece then said, “I love you mom, and I’m SO glad you have a sister!”
Let me preface this review by saying that this is an under $100.00 telescope. With that considered, let me say that this may be one of the best values available in that price range. I opened the box and was pleased to see that everything was perfectly packaged as if I had pay 5x the price for it. Everything was pretty solid. There are some plastic parts, but they are not the important ones. The finder scope is plastic as well but it works and you won’t be looking through that much anyways.I regularly use a higher end 10” Dobsonian reflector, so there is no comparison, but I wouldn’t take my expensive scope over to the beach at night and expose it to sand and salt either ( no light pollution over the ocean ). The lenses supplied are better than expected, except that a 9 or 10mm might be more appropriate than a 4mm, but once again….consider the price. The tripod and fork mount are rather stable and the views are great ! I think that the contrast and clarity are great as well as the overall construction of the main tube. The focuser is not the best, but works, and with a little TLC will get you where you need to be.I was lucky enough to grab mine last week when Amazon had them for only $59.00, so I really lucked out !!!! If you are looking for a solid yet simple beginner, travel, super portable, or backup scope and don’t want to spend a fortune - BUY THIS !!!! - You will not regret it.
Think missing some pieces SEVERAL of us, well educated adults (and kids!) can not for the life of us get this to work… even a Science major! Believe missing some pieces so have a feeling returning, very disappointed as 10 year old son was very excited!
Grandson loves this telescope. He is interested in the stars and now has a tool to see them closer.
Gifted to one of our sons , he loved it
Cracked optics.
It is very good and I saw saturns rings on a clear night
This telescope is poor quality, its not stable which make it difficult to adjust and keep images focused. for the money, I guess you get what you pay for.
I think I need a course to use my telescope
Great Product!
I haven’t try it on the moon because of the weather conditions. But we observe the jupiter with my son. It was really working. And do not spend so much money other models.
Doesn’t work.
I ordered this in the hopes of getting a clear image of Jupiter Saturn and possibly mars. Instead, I find out that this thing provides no better of an image than does my 60mm…
comments powered by DisqusDisappointed especially since this was a gift. Amateurs as they are I felt like they should have been able to at least focus on the moon.
