I am a picky person.As a bird watcher,I was very eager to find this item.Comparison sites will tell you where to get the best deals.So I found it! This is a multi-functional binoculars with very good quality for both casing and handling comfort.Images,videos and sound can be well got out from it.

Better than expected

I was a bit skeptical when I saw this digital camera on Amazon as majority of the existing ones on the market got very poor reviews due to the quality of the camera. When I received this camera binoculars, I was pleasantly surprised by the number of functions and features which came with it . From the display menu, we can set the resolution (upto 1920 x 1080), delay timer (upto 10 sec), quality, sharpness, white balance, exposure level, anti-shaking, and ISO for the camera. The binocular optics works fine but not of high quality which is expected for its price range.I tested the camera with the high quality mode setting and anti-shaking on and compared it with my high-end 200 mm DSLR zoom lens. The digital binoculars provides a closer zoom to the objects as compared to my zoom lens but the quality of the picture is definitely not as good and clear as my DSLR camera. One of the main reasons is that the pictures at this high zoom level would tend to be shaky by nature unless it is mounted on a tripod (this digital binocular has a mounting hole for such). However, I was able to get some pretty decent images with my steady hand without a tripod (I am an experience photographer). The videos are stored in AVI format and pictures are stored in JPG formats.I have attached several pictures taken with this camera binoculars with bare (and steady) hands and the stabilization mode turned on. These pictures are untouched nor post-processed. If tripod is not used, it is important to hold the camera very steady by either leaning on a support surface or press the binoculars close to the body when taking this picture. If a tripod is used, it would be good to use with the timer to prevent shaking from pressing the shutter button . The images do not turn out as good in dim lighting area (see the last picture attached).This camera binoculars does not have variable zoom not lens cap which I think is essential. If you want to take high quality pictures on a trip, I would still consider a good DSLR camera with zoom lens. If you want to take snapshots on a bird watching trip or concert while you are carrying a binoculars, this could be a good candidate to consider.

Like regular binoculars you can see with only you have the added bonus of taking a picture of what’s as far as you can see on your binoculars. Amazing. Have to purchase the sd chip seperately though.

but I believe it is due to poor vision in one eye

I find I have a hard time getting the right focus, but I believe it is due to poor vision in one eye.Takes very clear pictures when I do get it set right.

I contaccted the shipper corncerning the users manual. A better one is being written and will be distributed. Hooray for them!

The device is composed of binoculars and camera with a rotor in the middle of the body,which can control the magnification of views.And that’s the main reason I purchased this.

Great product. The pictures are not as great as I hoped, but they are nice. Defiantly a great purchase. These were great at a concert I just wish they had a silent mode.
