Nice well made skin

This does a nice job of helping camoflage the Arlo camera in my kitchen. It blends in much better now with the cabinet it’s sitting on top of. The only suggestion I would make is there could be some instructions telling you it’s okay to pull apart the ball and socket joint on the Arlo to put the skin on. But, I figured it out and it works great.

I like that is it a 2 part design

I like that is it a 2 part design. I wanted to keep the base white and the camera black. This does just that. Just wish they offered the cover for the camera with the SD card slot.

Try to remove your cameras base before buying

Other reviewers commented on needing to take the base off the camera. I read this and thought it wouldn’t be a big deal. Well, turns out it is. The directions conveniently skip over this step completely. I found one site that said if you pull hard enough it will come apart, but I’m a big guy and I was pretty confident that if I pulled any harder the base would break.

Much better than nothing

The skin could cover the face of camera a bit more to protect notch between transparent face plastic and body plastic.No problems with installation. Just rotate and pull the foot to disjoint it.

Gets the job done.

Fits nicely. I’m not the biggest fan of the material because it can accumulate dust easily, but a minor gripe considering how well it fits. In the end I just wanted a black Arlo Q camera so this is the next best thing.As far as how to take your camera apart, there are no clear instructions and the reviews aren’t exactly helpful. So I decided to be the one to change that:The skin ships in two separate pieces. One for the square body of the camera and one for the foot and leg piece. The camera is held to the leg on a ball and socket joint connection. So basically what that means is that if you firmly grip your camera and pull on the leg, the ball will pop out of its socket. I did not damage my camera and I’ve done it twice now. It’s definitely not the most satisfying way to treat your investment, but it would be difficult for Arlo to give it a decent range of motion without the joint. Hope this review helps.

How do you remove the Arlo Q stand to put on the skin?

This silicone skin comes with two pieces. One for the camera and one for the stand. To wrap the Arlo Q with these two skin pieces, you have to remove the Arlo Q stand from the camera.There are no included instructions on how to remove the Arlo Q stand. The Arlo Q instructions do not have any instructions on how to remove the stand, either. I attempted to remove the stand by force, but stopped because of fear of damaging the Arlo Q.I was unable to remove the stand to apply the skins. So, I returned this item.This item should include detailed instructions on how to remove the stand.
