This weed killer does exactly what I want it to do- it kills weeds dead in their tracks. I’ve got a huge problem with weeds where I live because the fields around my house are infested with them, and when the wind blows those seeds go right into my yard. Rats! I’ve tried so many things to get rid of weeds, but this weed killer is so powerful that I can spray a couple times (just to be safe) and all the weeds will die within 5 days.Keep in mind that this is a concentration, so don’t pour it directly into your sprayer or you’ll be wasting a LOT of this liquid gold. The gallon container I got would make north of 300 gallons of mix if I recall correctly, which is like a 2 year supply for me. What a deal! I’m so glad that I purchased this and in comparison to other name brand weed killers I’ve tried before (which are all super expensive, by the way), this one does the best job.Also, be cautioned. IT KILLS EVERYTHING IT TOUCHES. Yes, your grass around the weeds you spray on will die. Yes, the plants you accidentally overspray on will die (unless it’s a little overspray on a huge plant like a tree, of course that won’t do anything). Yes, this stuff does not discriminate on its plant victims, so be very careful. My yard is mostly rock landscape, so I don’t have to worry about it for the most part. About glyphosate…
A lot of people are confused about the difference between this product and Roundup, so I thought I would share a little information.The active ingredient in Roundup is a chemical called glyphosate. It was discovered by Monsanto in the 1970’s and patented soon after. The patents expired in 2000, so this is a generic version of the product.Glyphosate only works on actively growing weeds and plants, so you will not get results as a pre-emergent herbicide (i.e. it will not kill seeds, or dormant weeds). The product works somewhat slowly (over the course of several days to a week or longer) because it inhibits certain plant enzymes that are required for plant life function. Because of this “slow” action, some Roundup products also include a defoliant to show more immediate “action”. (The defoliant causes the leaves to drop off, but the weed would still live - it is the glyphosate that “kills” the weed).Most commercially available Roundup products contain between 1-2% glyphosate. This concentrate is 41%. Once a certain saturation level is reached within the weed, applying more (or stronger) glyphosate will not accelerate its death. It is more effective to treat several times with 2% solution over the course of a month, than to treat once with a stronger solution.

Product did not work for me - I sprayed large …
Product did not work for me - I sprayed large areas around my house, tall grass and weeds in bark landscaping. I sprayed the areas twice, and the 2nd time I doubled the ration of the product to water. After two weeks the tall grass is showing a little bit of browning, but the weeds in the bark areas are thriving. Returned the product
but the end result is it works fine at 1⁄4 the price
A little slower to act than the leading product (Roundup), but the end result is it works fine at 1⁄4 the price. When you have large areas to keep clear the cost savings makes a difference. May take over a week or so in cooler weather, more if it’s wet and cool..
I mixed this pretty heavily in water
Works decent. I have some sort of plant that I am going after in my back yard. Tried throwing a tarp over them for a few weeks with no avail. I mixed this pretty heavily in water. Probably 6oz to a gallon. No results right away but after about 3 days started noticing a difference. For the price it’s decent. I looked up a few do it yourself remedies for the other half of the plant/weed section. I used vinegar, salt, and some dish soap. That did about the same amount of damage as this concentrate. And considering the cost of vinegar, water, dish soap and salt. I would pick that mixture anyway over this product to be honest!

It works well, even on Poison Ivy. I mix it at 4oz per gallon and spray all surfaces of the leaves well. Within a week, the leaves are yellowing, within 2 weeks the leaves are brown, and within 3 weeks you’re left with little stalks of what used to be poison ivy. This product is a must-have if you’re treating a large area. It’s a gallon size of 41% vs a quart size of 18% of “tough brush” killer for the same price.Yes it takes some time, but it is better to do this so the weed killer has time to work it’s way to the root and kill the root. Other weed killers that include a defoliant “work” faster, but the roots are left to re-sprout and you end up having to apply more weed killer.Photo shows treated area after two weeks below an untreated area.
Best product I’ve ever used
My goodness this stuff works! I got the 2.5 gallons and killed every nasty weed on my corner lot property. I had some really tall weeds on the side of the house, like 5 feet tall! That I didn’t know were there. They were so thick that the weed eater wouldn’t cut through them! Within a week they were totally dead. Now I have to go pull them.One word of caution, wear protective gloves. I wore little latex gloves and it melted the gloves. Also, add a good tablespoon of dish soap to the mix for best results. I don’t know why that helps but I read it on here, did it, and got fantastic results.

Works as good as anything i have used before but at a lower cost. No complaints and will buy again for sure. I mix 1 ounce per gallon and grass is gone in less than a week.

This stuff kills EVERYTHING. So much better than the ones I used to buy at Lowes and Home depot. After using this, I haven’t seen any new weeds growing.
