Condor Tactical Leg Holster

Some reviewers cry about weapon retention with this holster…………………this thing isn’t for duty carry. From an officer standpoint I can say that I would never wear this on duty while patrolling, it wasn’t made for patrolling. As prior service infantry I can say that I would confidently carry this into combat. The straps retain my .45 ACP Ruger P90 perfectly. I can low crawl, run, jump, and move freely without fear of my weapon falling out.PROS:Nice thick nylon, well stitched, multicam matches all my other gear, rubberized strips on the leg straps to prevent movement, super adjustable, affordable.CONS:WTF do you expect for so cheap? It isn’t a custom fit holster….don’t expect it to be what it is not.

Not a bad holster.

Holster is decently made. It’s designed to it a variety of pistols. It allowed me to carry a pistol with a light on the rail. The retention strap is adjustable and holds my pistols securely. A word of caution, you will not be able to draw from this holster quickly if you utilize full retention on the strap. Adjustments on the various straps could have been better thought out, but you can adjust them to a degree. It’s not tailored to any specific pistol, it could be better built, but it’ll get the job done. For the money, it’s not a bad holster.

Completely adjustable, except the holster

This thing has more velcro than I thought a company could fit on a product! You can adjust the top part of the strap above the clip and adjust the bottom part of the strap below the clip. The entire backside of the holster has velcro, so this is how you adjust the holster up and down. I suppose this is also how you adjust the cant. Once you have it nailed down, you can also velcro a securing loop around the set up (above the clip and below the clip). You can see one of these securing straps at the very top, wrapped AROUND the main strap. You can adjust the retention strap by pulling the velcro down or up more in the two loops you see in the picture. These are a complete and total pain to adjust. I found the best way to do it was by pulling it completely out, then using the extra securing strap (you see it folded down on the retention strap in the picture) to create a barrier between the opposite velcro pieces. Mine is brand new, so it’s still very stiff and I didn’t get much adjustment. The leg straps have a ton of excess (I am 5’10”, 200lb) and I’m pretty sure I could strap them around my waist. The actual holster is a bit different. It’s very basic, not too flexible material. My M&P45 slides down quite a bit and I have a light. However, it does hold the gun quite snuggly. If you check out the product picture, notice that the grip of the gun could move down a little more. You’d have to force it down, but it can get in there deep enough it would be tough to get out in a quick minute. The magazine pouch works fine for me.Overall, I like it. It’s annoying how stiff it all is and the clips are quite large and bulky. I don’t plan to do any Gi Joe’ing, but I wanted something I could carry outside at the farm and to the range. I might end up removing one leg strap and cutting it to size a bit better (getting rid of excess velcro). As well as adjusting the holster to hold my gun up a little more.

Decent Holster

I’ve owned older-generation Condor products- this one is surprisingly good.Positives:1. The nylon is much thicker/stiffer than I expected it to be.2. This product bears a Multicam trademark tab so presumably it is properly licensed.3. The leg straps have two lines of rubber on the contact side to help prevent sway.4. Weapon retention straps are adjustable for length.Neutrals:1. Made in China2. Weapon retention straps- there is a 2nd Velcro strap on top of the metal snap strap, but I wouldn’t call it a professional retention holster. Weapon retention and release is reliable but not very secure against someone grabbing for your weapon.Negatives:1. The weapon retention straps cannot be adjusted very much for lie. It should be fine for any striker- fired pistol or a pistol carried in the hammer-down position but I would want a 1911 person to weigh in on it before I bought one for a 1911.

Good for around the farm, and that’s about it.

This is an edit of my previously somewhat favorable review of this item. After using it for some time, I have come to the conclusion that it is more or less junk. While it holds the weapon fine, it does so in a way that makes any sort of fast draw impossible. If I really needed to go for my sidearm while wearing this holster, I would not likely be able to remove it from the straps in any sort of reasonable time.In short, if what you are looking for is a thigh rig to hold your sidearm while you romp through the back 40, this will do just fine. But if you think you might ever need to draw it in a tight spot, then go with a serpa holster instead.Note: the materials are all what you would expect from a Condor product. Good coloring, good quality webbing, high-endurance, good quality materials. The only real problem I have with this holster is the weapon retention.

Feels like cardboard, very dissapointed

I usually love Condor products, but this was absolute crap. The holster itself is like a cardboard triangle, there’s no molding, no ability to shape it. In addition, adjustablity does not exist with this holster. The leg straps are difficult to work with and can only get small enough to fit around a medium tree trunk, and also gives you about a foot and a half worth of slack at the end when you tighten it all the way. I hate the velcro/snap strap to hold the pistol in place, just feels clunky and unrealistic if you need to draw in a hurry. I returned this and swapped for the Condor tornado, because I needed one in multicam. The tornado is much better, but honestly my UTG leg holster is by far the best…sadly they don’t make one in multicam yet.

crap

2 of 3 clasp broke just setting it up for my leg haven’t even used the thing yet

Broken buckle

Sturdy looking product. Read great reviews, but one of the buckles on the leg strap is broken.
