The side lenses of the Panoramic 3 are precisely fit to the main lens for a nearly uninterrupted field of view. The result is a mask that allows maximum light and feels as open as the ocean itself. Decent mask with one unavoidable flaw

I ordered this mask with the hopes of finding a better, 3-panel scuba mask, but ended up returning it.The Good: The lenses and face seal were a nice fit and comfortable. The strap was typical, but I prefer to swap in a 3rd party nylon strap and avoid the straps breaking on me before a dive.The Bad: Unfortunately I had a larger problem with this mask: the buckle straps connect to the hard lens-frame via rubber connectors that are the same material as the strap. Meaning that sooner or later, one of the buckles will break and render the mask useless. Perhaps there’s a reason for this, but I couldn’t help but feel like it was a feature, not an oversight - in order to shorten the usable life of the mask.

Made in Taiwan?

Giving this a 3 rating for now, since I haven’t actually used it yet. Will revise once I get back from hawaii.However, it has a big sticker right on the lenses with a standard safety warning, which shows the mask is made in Taiwan, so all these reviews touting great European silicone and build quality of all Cressi products are bogus. Having said that, the mask does seem much better made than the ones I’ve rented in the past, so I’m hopeful that the manufacturing location doesn’t really matter much. I used a lighter on the inside of the lenses, and yes, you really could see the thin film burn away - then lightly cleaned with softscrub - doesn’t fog up like when I first test-fit it.

a little secret

Just used this on a weeks trip to Bermuda. Hadn’t snorkeled in over 30 years but this was a very comfortable mask and effective field of view. They don’t tell you there is a protective film on the inside of the mask to protect it during shipment, and it kept fogging up very badly. took a snorkel excursion and one of the tour boat captains took a cigarette lighter and CAREFULLY heated the inside of the mask and you could see the film melt away. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet to see if it worked, but they treat all their masks this way (well over 100)

Silicon seals seems a little cheap. Does not fit comfortably.

Read the reviews, I have an average size face but the glass presses on the bridge of my eyebrows. Its probably fine foe the average snorkeler but I wouldn’t recommend this mask for someone without trying it on.

I just used this mask on our cruise to snorkel in Ochos Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Mexico and a short trip to the reefs in Key Largo. I have a close cropped beard and this mask sealed perfectly. The view is incredible compared to other masks in this price range. I was able to see so much more than with my wifes rental equipment. This is quality all the way. It doesn’t mention it but mine came in the nice Cressi plastic tub type case which is a very nice bonus.
