Fix your fog problem with baby/kid shampoo
I saw a lot of complants about the mask fogging up. I bought it anyways. This is my first snorkle and mask. I tried spitting in it but don’t like the results much or spitting into my mask. I found a tip about using baby shampoo and it is amazing. Before I dive I rub kids shampoo in the goggles then wash out all the extra till it is clear. I attached a photo, left is without shampoo and right is with shampoo then washed out. I then wore the mask for 5 mins and took this picture. The reason this mask does up faster than others is it is a low volume. After I do the shampoo trick I can snorkle and free dive for 3-4 hours without it fogging up. If anyone needs more instructions let me know. Make sure to use kid/baby shampoo so it doesn’t sting your eyes.
Great value, great mask
This is a great mask and dry snorkel. I am an experienced diver and have had many different masks. For the money, this one takes the cake. Low profile, great fit, and doesn’t hurt my face esp at lower depths when pressure increases. I’ve had much more expensive masks that I can’t say the same about. Note, I have a relatively small/thin face (7 1⁄4” hat size) if that helps anyone. My 12 yo son (also a certified diver) also has the same mask and loves it. We recently bought a mask with a camera mount on top and neither one of us could wear it, as it hurt both of our faces. I won’t mention the name as Amazon may on publish my review.Also if you’ve never used a dry snorkel before, these things are great. You don’t have to clear the snorkel when you surface because it keeps any water from entering. You also don’t have to worry about wave water splashing in while swimming on the surface, so great for snorkeling. If you’re wondering about what color to buy, go with black if you’re on the fence. While clear masks sound good in theory (can see more) they let in too much light and can be extremely distracting to the eye due to the may reflections. In very clear bright water they can be almost painful on the eyes. They also discolor over time (yellow). I would only wear a clear mask in very dark water/low visibility. And even then I still prefer a black mask as it allows me to focus more on my given field of vision.You can’t go wrong with this set. As always try it on first if you can as masks fit every face a little differently.
This set is a winner - price, fit, looks and comfort
This is my second mask/snorkel set. The first one I got was the Cressi Eye Evolution. Cost me $60 just for the mask. The snorkel I got then was NOT a dry top but had a splash guard. I got this set because it cost less than ordering each individually. I was worried about the quality in mask/snorkel sets but you an assure that this works very well. I am comparing the mask with the Cressi Eye evolution here. Both have the same width. This mask has a softer skirt (see photo) so it was lighter and very comfortable on my face. The Eye Evolution has a tab on the side that you have to push in to loosen the strap. This mask has two buttons that you have to pinch together to loosen the strap. I like the tab push better. The head strap on this mask is also better than the eye evolution. You won’t need a mask strap cover at all.The dry top snorkel is very good. I took different dives (slow and fast) to see when water gets in. When I do a fast dive, no water went in. When I do a slow dive some water got it BUT it was very easy to clear the water - a hard puff and the water is expelled. The other excellent feature on this snorkel is the quick release clip. A push and pull and the snorkel separates from the mask making storage very easy. The other snorkel I had, it was hard to put on and remove the snorkel.
Great mask and snorkel!
This mask and snorkel work great. We have purchased 6 Cressi masks, 2 of which were this specific mask and 4 were the slightly smaller junior version: Cressi Junior Frameless Mask Dry Snorkel Set, Clear. For small adult faces, the junior should work, but if have a bit of a large nose or face, this “Freediving” version might be better (there is a clear version of both sizes).We have purchased this mask in clear and black, and we much prefer the clear because it allows you to have a larger viewing area under water. The large single viewing pane is very nice.The dry snorkel has worked perfectly for all 6 sets. You can just dive down under and come back up and then just start breathing normally again. You don’t have to blow out water.As far as fogging in the mask, we read lots of reviews and took their advice… when we first received them, we used a toothbrush and toothpaste on the inside lense and then rinsed well. Now when we use them, we use Spit spray, and it works well.We also highly recommend mask straps for those with short and long hair: Cressi Neoprene Mask Strap Cover, Black 2 - Pack, Cressi short fins Cressi Palau Short Fins with Mesh Bag Snorkel Packages - Blue, Size - LGXLG, neoprene socks such as these: H2ODYSSEY Neoprene Snorkeling Fin Sock, 2mm (Medium, Mens Size 8-9) and a vest to help you float: Adult Snorkeling Vest Jacket- Large-Yellow. I have not regretted bringing any of this gear with us because we have snorkelled comfortably for hours in the Carribean and in Hawaii!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. I use the baby soap trick and it works every time. I have used the set about 40 times in the last year and it is good as new. Super comfortable.
