  Product Description

The Supernova Dry snorkel has a unique Splash Guard at the end which greatly reduces the entrance of water during use on the surface. The special Valve on top seals the tube as you dive, almost totally preventing the entrance of water when the snorkel is submerged. The end part has a corrugated piece that is smooth on the inner side and keeps the snorkel away from the mouth during use when scuba diving. A special water collection well, with a large elliptic valve, allows quick and easy expulsion of water. The replaceable angled mouthpiece and corrugated tube section are both made from Hypoallergenic Silicone adding comfort and function. A quick release snorkel keeper and ergonomic contoured shape make this one great snorkel.

This one did not work for me

I have been a certified diver since 1980 and been snorkeling even longer than that. This snorkel has the same problem that is suffered by many “dry” snorkels. Simply put, the airflow is limited, at best. For some reason, the modern designers like to make the snorkels look more aerodynamic or ergonomic or whatever. So, instead of making the tubes round, some designers make them oblong; like this one. As long as the air intake volume remains the same, the shape of the tube should not be an issue. But by making the tube oblong instead of round it makes the tube too wide to be comfortable; nor would it fit most masks ergonomically. So as a result, they shrink the size of the oblong shape, thereby reducing the volume of air that can be taken in by the snorkel. In this particular model, that air intake is further limited where the flexible silicone meets the hard clear plastic. For some reason, the designer reduced the open width of the hole between that connection so that even less air gets in. Comically enough the reduced size of the hole combined with the flexibility of the silicone tube sometimes results in a whistling sound as you breathe. It had been my hope that this would be a good replacement snorkel. Unfortunately, I must keep looking.

I purchased this for my husband as it was the same one that came with a mask and snorkel set I ordered and it had very good reviews. He, as did I, used this snorkel daily for two weeks and was completely satisfied. It has great flexibility, clips easily to the mask, and allows you to snorkel without getting any water in the snorkel. Using anti-fog drops works well in keeping it fog-free! Comfortable to use and performs perfectly, so easy to recommend!

I bought this as a replacement to my snorkel that came with an older mask. It hooked on perfectly but I had issues with some type of blockage occuring inside. It completely plugs up and you can’t get any air in, not even a little. I can sometimes get it to clear after tapping it but it is a nuisance as it will just block up out of nowhere while in the water.

I am learning how to swim. This product helped me a lot since I bought it. Now, I can concentrate on my hand and leg coordination and not worry about breathing and sinking. I use it for two laps and then go without two laps to see where I need to pay attention.Here is my recommendation: This and the goggles should be your first two tools if you are learning to swim. The snorkel, no matter which brand, will let you float easily like a jelly fish…you really can not sink because the constant air coming in your body keeps you afloat.

Highly recommend this product

Used this snorkel in Antigua and it worked with out any issues. the self draining feature takes some getting used to as I am an old school diver and used to having to exhale the water out of the snorkel. Not so with this baby. Highly recommend this product.

Works Perfectly!

Have had absolutely no troubles with this snorkel. I absolutely love the dry-top design! It’s a must have for new and experienced snorkelers alike! No water gets into the snorkel when diving or when waves crash overhead. A really enjoyable product! Getting a ton of use out of this thing.

Love this dry snorkel! I bought the matching Cressi panoramic mask and this makes one nice snorkel/scuba set! I will be purchasing another for my son! I have a smaller mouth and it fits me pretty good, I do have to get a good seal on it though.
