I drop crab pots in an area of extreme tidal flow. I have eventually lost every pot I have ever put in that location, but the crabbing is great. I attached this little anchor to my crab pots this year and did not lose a single pot. The anchor is light and does not make it difficult to pull up the pot. I am in 80 feet of water.
Excellent folding, compact 3lb. anchor. Ideal for small inflatables on lakes.
This item arrived when promised and is exactly what I need for both my canoe and kayak. The anchor is not too heavy and the feet fold in to make the size very manageable.
tested at the depth of 40 ft, worked fine even when wind was 20 miles/hrThe rope length was x3 of the depth though.
Excellent anchor. I use it for my fishing kayak and it’s exactly as described. I fish lakes and ponds so there isn’t any strong current to test it out on.
I was a little hesitant to purchase this anchor after reading all the reviews… but then decided it was exactly what I was looking for. I have a 10 ft fishing kayak and needed something so I could remain in one place. I am not sure what the other reviewers had a problem with… its an anchor. Granted it is a cast anchor, and cast metals tend to be a bit fragile, I have not hava problem… as long as you remember that it is a cast anchor and not indestructible. Use is with care and I have no doubt it will give years of service.
Probably will end up getting the 3 lb for my kayak
I have a 1-man pontoon and fought the wind constantly using the “anchor” provided at the time of purchase. I bought this 3# version over the 1# anchor because 2 pounds doesn’t make a difference to me as far as portability goes. I was a bit skeptical of the 1# anchor holding me in place during a stiff wind. The anchor performs great every time. I don’t use a chain, just rope and no problem. Just make sure you let out plenty of rope so it will dig in or grab on to something.
A good value
Works fine as an anchor for my fishing kayak, even in 15-20 mph wind.
Well made and comes with a shackle.
works good
graet
Just what I needed—a grappling hook to retrieve a $400 rod and reel.
good product
Exactly what I needed. It’s small and lightweight but head to full grown adults + floats in places against wind and waves.
Add a float when fishing
