Dissapointing

I do not post reviews a lot, but this monitor is such a dissapointment I want to spare others the frustration. I ordered this to use as a 2nd monitor, . to be used together with my existing screen Dell monitor from 2010. I have to say sadly the old 2010 monitor outperforms the new one in any way!!!!. The worst part is this monitor’s colors are all flat. The darker colors, esp. black are grayish at best and the screen lights up from behind from the bottom up washing out the little brightness that this monitor offers. I tried to troubleshoot, re-calibrated it, looked at Dells support documentation but was not able to achieve a satisfying result. Great Monitor, great computer owner with a conscience

Downside we had to buy adaptors for our little Mac Mini. The great news is that it is a really lovely update from our last monitor. This one is only about 2 inches larger but you can ofsalkg see that sometimes Small changes can make a huge difference.Growing up in ATX where Dell is headquartered makes a nice difference. If I ever have a problem with any issues I’m sure I will have a friend who’s worked in the dwpaetnwvf who can talk me through it. Dell had a lot of problems in the early to mid 1990’s where the company outgrew their ability to handle customer service. These problems have been fixed, but I think it follows Dell Around like a black cloud even to this day! It’s been 20 years. The colors and crispness to the images are great.I can’t honestly say I know much about monitors, however, it’s quiet and large, beautiful colors, fantastic. The design is sleek and despite my hometown pride, but that’s not the reason why I’m giving it good marks. I’m giving a good review because Dell has come a long way in making incredible products. They give back. TON to the community including the financing of the children’s hospital. So if you’re weighing in on 2 monitors who are very much like one another with similar functions and price, you may want to buy one who’s owner is a really good guy who does really honestly excellent things with the profit he’ll get off the

Worked great for my needs

I bought this to donate to a charity where they only had 1 computer for 16 special needs adults to use. I didn’t need anything fancy, just needed something that would give a good picture large enough for some of the adults who have vision issues to be able to see clearly. This screen does the job well. They love their new computer and this monitor.I tested the screen before I donated it and it seemed to look pretty good. I wouldn’t recommend it for hard-core gamers or photographers, but for the causal user this is a great monitor to own.

great size. Great price. Easy to put together. Colors seem strong and well saturated. text is pretty sharp.doesn’t seem to allow adjustment to the height or angle of viewing. stand is a little too basic and simple. also, stand parts don’t seem to lock into place. Be careful with this unit. for the price, good value. I’m happy with the purchase. Well packed, and I don’t notice any scratches.

the monitor works great!

I got this for my 80yo uncle Dan, I think he wouldhave stared into his tiny tube monitor for the restof his life as long as it continued to turn on .We put Fedora 25 on his ancient computer thathe bought used from Amazon a few years ago andused Gnome Tweak Tool to make his fonts andmouse pointer big enough for him to see, the monitorworks great!

Great Replacement Screen

A great replacement screen. It arrived within two days, excellent packaging, easy to set-up and plugged into my existing cables and power cord. Provides excellent display and colors are great. I highly recommend this if you need to replace your display or want to add an additional display to your system.
