Great product and customer service!
Great product. Installed easily over existing ball valves and integrated into my SmartThings homeAutomation system. Product is robust and I expect it to last. The Dome company has recently become very active on the SmartThings community and are adding device handlers and support directly to the consumer in that manner.

Paired right up with my Samsung Smartthings Hub and Dome lead sensors. Works awesome with the process I setup. I hope I never have to see it in action for real.

Great idea, works as described.
Easy Setup, High Quality
I successfully paired this device with my VeraPlus. It pairs as a Generic Z-Wave device, and shows up as a light switch. Once paired, it shows up as “on” when the ball valve is in-line with the pipe (water is flowing) and “off” when the ball valve is perpendicular to the pipe (water is off). The installation was fairly easy – Just make sure to line up the valve and the arm perfectly. The device itself seems to be high quality and pretty durable. Dome really did a good job with this product. The only way this could have been better is if this product was fully integrated with Vera.In the video, I have it paired with the Aeotec water sensor from Aeon Labs.

Motor not powerful enough
My house is less than 10 years old and I can turn the water valve on and off with one finger, yet the motor isn’t strong enough to completely open or shut the valve. It only turns it about half-way. I worked with their customer service dept to make sure the valve was correctly installed and aligned and also sent them a video of the Dome in action.Response from Dome:I watched the video and the unit doesn’t seem to be malfunctioning. Your alignment is good and it seems well secured to the pipe. Unfortunately your valve appears to take a little too much force for the Shut-Off.You can try to lubricate your valve and decrease the force necessary to turn it. If it still isn’t closing all the way you can return it where you purchased it because the product didn’t fit your needs.Nice concept, but needs a more powerful motor.
Worked great but setup was a pain…but worth it.
Once I got it working it worked great! I used it on my Smartthings system with the Smartthings water sensors.
