CHECK THE INGREDIENTS FOR DIPROPYLENE GYCOL BEFORE USING

On the website DIPROPYLENE GYCOL is not listed on the ingredients list. On the item I received, that ingredient is listed in the soap. I used this soap for a week and it started causing my eczema to act up. After researching that chemical, it turns out that it is an irritant to people with sensitive skin. Be careful and check the item you receive

Excellent general purpose soap that doesn’t dry out skin

This stuff is good general purpose soap. It does not leave skin feeling dry whatsoever. This is the first soap that does not have that squeaky feeling on the skin when washed off–leaving the skin dry. It seems to hydrate pretty well. The smell is pretty neutral. It does not smell perfume-like. Awesome Soap for Sensitive Skin! Dermatologist Recommended for KP

I used to buy soap for how it smelled and how it lathered - that is, until my dermatologist told me he thought I was sensitive to the dyes and fragrances in my favorite locally handmade soap. Bummer. He recommended this one to help with my keratosis pilaris, and although it’s not a cure by itself, I have definitely noticed a difference!There’s no scent, of course, and I miss having that in the shower, but it’s a small price to pay for clearer skin! The soap lathers nicely and doesn’t dry out my skin at all. I’ve converted everyone in the house to this soap.

Switched kids to Dove

This is our Dove story. I’ve been using Dove on and off my whole life. As a kid my mom would alternate between Ivory and Dove and we never really gave it too much thought. And so as an adult I kind of cycled as well.Enter babies and of course I used liquid baby soap. Then the babies grew a little and I started getting them random liquid soaps. I have a boy and a girl. My son wanted Ninja Turtle soap, my daughter a princess soap (which smelled gross lol). I bought these things without stopping to think why in the world would they NEED cute bottles of soap. They were not expensive, and that is probably why. My daughter has sensitive skin and mild eczema. For some reason, I kept wondering if strawberries or something in the bread were triggering this. And maybe diet has something to do with it, but I didn’t even consider that random soaps I knew nothing about were perhaps not helping?Then one day we read a book about a Soap Boat and I was like… hmm – let’s make soap boats! Because I had purchased so many Dove bars, that’s what I used. And the soap boats were in the bathtub (sinking because Dove doesn’t float - Ivory does by the way.). And I started using the bar soap to wash the kids. I explained how this is big kid soap and we have to close our eyes when mommy is rinsing and we shouldn’t put our soapy hands in our eyes, and we don’t eat it and so on… And you know what? My daughter’s eczema seems to be a little better. Is it medicine? No. Is it better than random soap? Yes.And guess who isn’t buying cute bottles of cheap soap anymore?Isn’t it funny how sometimes we can get distracted by marketing campaigns and just going back to basics to those things that our family has used for years and years is the answer? Eczema runs in my family. No wonder my mom bought the soap that worked.About the product itself:I read a review with a complaint that this product has a scent. And it does have a scent. It is a very mild soapy clean scent though. I am not sure how you make a soap without any sort of smell to it. It imagine that they did not add fragrance but the ingredients probably have a bit of a scent to them? It is working for us, so this does not bother me at all.

Same rich lather and rinses clean…but has an extra umph!

I am a fan of Dove soap but was looking for something with some extra umph. This is the product. This Dove still has the same smooth application and clean rinse with extra exfoliating capabilities. Same rich lather and fresh, clean scent as well. This provides a GENTLE exfoliation so if you have an area that needs extra exfoliation, you may want to get some type of body scrub. This product is so gentle that it can be used everyday and has become my go to bar soap.

Little residue, cleans without leaving a film, and softens your skin

Hands down, this is my favorite soap. It doesn’t irritate my skin, cleans and washes off well, doesn’t dry out my skin, and doesn’t leave a scent. I don’t feel it exfoliates, however I am very happy with how well it cleans and how my skin feels once I’m out of the shower. I hope Dove continues to make this soap combination. Recommend.

Best soap out there, bar none! (pun intended lol)

Have used Dove soap for years. Skin is soft, not itchy, and I smell fresh and clean. Lathers easily & well, and does not leave soap scum all over.No other soap leaves me feeling this good.Our Dermatologist asked me what soap I was using. I’m sure he had the “it’s bad for your skin” lecture all prepared, but when I said I religiously used Dove, he smiled and said..“keep using it.“I plan to! Great deal here for 6 bars, and with Prime free ship, it’s even better. I’ll be back for more.

I love the smell of this soap, and it lathers up so well, and best part of it, i have a subscription for it…so I never reach for my storage bin to find I have no soap.
