Style:Rotary tool The Dremel 3000 is the workhorse of the Dremel brand. New enhancements such as the EZ Twist integrated wrench nose cap accessory allows you to switch between accessories without the Dremel wrench. The 360-degree grip-zone improves balance and comfort while the improved venting and redesigned fan makes the 3000 run cooler and stay comfortable for longer duration jobs.
My boyfriend loves his dremel! It was affordable and does the job. 5 stars! His first project, he made me a ring (: I would definitely recommend this product!
Been wanting a new Dremel to replace the one which was taken over/given to the teenager a while ago. This set is wonderful with all the attachments/accessories which come with it. The case, itself, has room to put some of the other attachments into which we bought for it separately. Husband loves the variable speed on it which we did not have on the other one. Definite upgrade! I cannot wait to do some fine engraving with extra accessories we found in addition to what comes in the kit.
I do not know how I have lived without a Dremel before now! As a college student, cosplayer, and someone living in a small space, large power tools are just not a option. For the small jobs that I have, this dremel gets the job done. I greatly enjoy the ten settings, although I do wish that the cord was a little longer but if that’s my only complaint then I am golden!
I’ve had a lot of fun with this tool. It is multipurpose, and has a million different attachments and uses. You have to buy many of the attachments separately, but it comes with a decent amount right out of the box. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is a hobbyist and does various things around the house. I purchased the variable speed model, but there are dremels with only one speed and those with even more speeds than mine. Make sure to find the one that is right for you. I have used it on watches, metals, shoes, you name it. The only limit is your imagination.
As an amateur carpenter most of my adult life, I have begun doing a lot more work in wood toys for grandchildren since being semi-retired. I bought the Dremel 3000 in January and have since bought the Dremel Plunge Router Attachment and extra sanding drums. My band saw, drill press, scroll saw, etc. are all essential, but this tool has added a dimension sorely needed. I recently used it to cut a 3⁄8” wide, 1⁄4 inch deep dado in cherry. I do not like my full size router because it is so big and unruly. The Dremel 3000 is very easy to control. I use it regularly to sand (and grind) between the gross cut and the hand sanding. Formerly I used various files for the intermediate work. The Dremel makes it easy.
I am new to the rotary tools, so I am still learning how to use this Dremel. After researching, I ordered the 3000 because it seems easier to handle than the larger models, and I work with smaller items. It does handle pretty well. Those buffers, with the included compound, work wonders on bullet shells! There is not much else I have done, so I’ll have to come back later for an update. I am a woman with average-sized hands.
A capable little tool with lots of accessories. So far I’ve only had the opportunity to use it for two projects:1) Cutting staples out of wooden boxes. The staples were stuck, so I was cutting off the exposed ends of them. It wasn’t as fast as an angle grinder, but got the job done quickly and with no hassle.2) Routing a 1⁄4” groove in some sort of soft-ish wood. I had to buy a separate bit for this, but did NOT buy an actual router guide - I just used the freehand tool that came in the package. It was easy to control but difficult to cut in a straight line, especially around knots. It was also less powerful than I would have liked, but that’s sort of what you get with a high-speed / low-torque tool like this. Conclusion: it did two jobs that would have typically required two different tools whose prices would have added up to or surpassed the cost of this one. The Dremel 3000 may not be the most powerful tool out there, but it more than makes up for it in versatility and price.
This tool is a must have for any DIY person and I only wish I’d gotten it sooner. My favorite pieces are the cutting wheel and the sanding drum, but I tried out all the other accessories too. The grinding tips did a fantastic job sharpening my lawn mower blades. The only downside to owning this tool is that I feel compelled to buy more accessories
Very pleased with the price and value of this purchase. Great quality!
End piece adapter broke on first use. Now I can’t change out adapters. Had to use pliers to remove the bit that was stuck.
its a rotary tool it cuts things it grinds things it polishes things.. the only real problem i have is the case it doesn’t hold the the collets very well and are prone to get…
It work really good
Wasnt what I expected pieces seem so small.
Dremel is always great
works great
Worked great, so far used the metal cutting tool and the sanding bit. Met my expectations.
It was a gift for my husband, and he loves it. Lots of different attachments. Places in box to keep all the attachment.
