Where has this been all my life!?! This thing is great for just about anything and has the ability to get into tight places where you can’t reach w/ other tools. I bought this for a massive sanding project due to not being able to get into small crevices even w/ a mouse sander. I’m a perfectionist so I wanted ALL paint gone and a good surface for stain adhesion. I feel like this is a MUST have for any handyman or hobbyist because of all the uses you get from one tool.

Great Addition!!

Having recently re-entered the model building hobby I needed to outfit my model shop with the right tools for the job,. This was the FIRST tool I bought! It does everything. Drilling holes, polishing delicate plastics, grinding and cutting metal, plastic, tile, you name it. Makes me wonder why everyone does not have one of these. One note… Remember to run the “burn in” cycle when you get it, very important to long life and full service.. Get one, use it, it’s a great addition to any work, hobby, or craft shop!

exactly what it looks like. A dremel tool with all the attachments you could ever hope for. Recomend the dremel work stand. Also look for a better place to store it. The plastic case it comes in is useless.

Very Usefull

This is a great set, it includes just about all the parts and acessories that you would normally need for most projects. The flex shaft is particually nice since it allows you to have a light weight tool in your hands for detail work.

Best Of ALL the DREMEL 4000 kits!

Dremel Tools don’t need any more praise from me than it already has. The product literally speaks for itself with the tremendous build quality and ability to handle any tasks!I was primarily interested in cutting and buffing/sanding aluminum and metals in and around my car. I also want to tackle the baseboards in my home this summer. I also wanted the extension snake ($25 value) to allow me to do fine detailing work without the vibration of the 4000 in my hand.The extension snake thing alone makes this worth it since you do not have to buy a smaller lower powered dremel for fine detailing work. On the 4000 with the snake attached and speed set to low you can tackle small projects carefully and quickly.This kit has all that and more for just under $100.

Great when used as intended.

As another reviewer mentioned, this tool is ideal when used as was intended. The tool doesn’t have a lot of torque, so you need to let it operate at high speeds and let the rotational speed do the work. If you force the tool into the medium, it will bog down and obviously work less efficiently.All in all, I think this is a very nice kit. While I’ve only used it for one back splash installation as of now, I was satisfied with the performance and anticipate good performance in future work. The versatility of the tool made minced meat of the tile I put it up against, making outlet cuts, etc, very easy. I would recommend this tool, just make sure your expectations are in line with the intended usage patterns.

Great dremel.

So I love the dremel (when it was working) great power, easy to use, simple, did everything I needed it to do, except power back up it just stopped working out of the blue and only used it a few times. Love how amazon makes it easy to get a new one replaced and send the broken one. So hoping all well go well this time around. I would have given it 5 stars if it didn’t break and 3 stars for breaking so fast but cause of the quick replacement and how much I loved using it when it was working I gave it 4 stars. So we will see how this goes when I get the new replacement. Photos of some of my work with my dremel.

When you just can’t stop Dremeling

I got this kit to go with the drill press stand and was really happy with the tool’s performance. Very smooth even at max rpm. The kit includes several useful attachments and a nice assortment of bits to get you started. Several mandrels and collets were included that added to the kit’s versatility. It has plenty of power and the adjustable speed lets you tune the Dremel to the task at hand. The case is well made and designed to hold the tool and attachments in place. there is even an icon of each component marked in the proper location to store it. One drawback was the plastic flashing left over from molding the motor vents was left on instead of trimming off during assembly. This could lead to overheating. I can’t cut the flashing off while it’s on the tool as pieces could end up damaging the motor during use. I’ll have to disassemble it. That’s a big hit on quality control. Otherwise a great tool if used for its intended purpose.

I ordered the Dremel tool kit to complete a job that need precision cutting and polishing on a specific part. This kit offered me exactly what I needed to complete the task.

Very Useful!

Not worth buying this piece of crap

Used it a few times. Put it up for a long while, started to do a little work with it, and after a few minutes it wouldn’t power back on.

4300 did not last 2 hours

Purchased 4300 from Home Depot… tool lasted only TWO hours….will not power on… failure is in cheap microswitch….. Unit returned to HD.

I no longer trust the Dremel brand.

I purchased this Dremel 4000 about a month or so ago. It has already quit working. I was using the unit to polish and carve polymer clay, which is very soft.
