The best thing since the wheel

The best thing since the wheel! I’m for serious! This product arrived on time and in almost perfect condition! This little Chuck is the most amazing thing you could ever have for your Dremel tool, it has in his capabilities of excepting many different size tools and is easily adjustable. Installation takes almost no time…it doesn’t take any time at all actually….it literally took me 0.04 seconds to install on my Dremel 4000!(I have an ability to move at light speed ) It’s made of really good quality steel and seems milled almost perfectly, I would highly recommend buying this product. The one thing I don’t understand is why Dremel doesn’t just put this with their product in the first place…probably to make more money …but that’s just plain evil šŸ˜ˆSo if you’re serious metalsmith or jeweler or construction worker or hobbyist or doctor or dentist or tool junkie or caveman or dog owner or cat owner or Blue collar or white color or Dungeons & Dragons player or brain surgeon or rocket scientist or Monopoly player or spaceman or alien or average suit citizen or me…Buy this product right now! You buy now!!!

Awesome, but WATCH OUT FOR FAKES!

The original product by Dremel is just the BEST accessory ever made for these great little tools. However, be VERY CAREFUL… there are a LOT OF FAKES out there. I purchased one here on Amazon and what showed up was a knock-off that may work, but is made of aluminum and is nowhere near the quality of an original. The packaging I received with the fake was close, but obvious something was amiss. So, order yours but when it arrives, take a GOOD LOOK at it! If it is a fake… return it! I’ve attached photos of my original OEM Dremel chuck and the fake one I was recently sent. Make sure your supplier is selling an honest product! The fake I received had a body that unscrewed into two pieces. Checking with a magnet, it would not stick (it is aluminum). Note, if not taken apart, a magnet will stick to it because the jaws/springs inside are magnetic. Also, my original jaws open easily all the way. The fake unit would open so far and would need to be pushed manually in a little more to get it opened further. I wish Amazon had a better way of reporting bad suppliers.

Great addition to my Dremel 395

Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless ChuckI always found collets to be a PITA, and now consider this keyless chuck to be a must-have companion to my Dremel rotary tool. It’s so useful that I don’t understand why Dremel doesn’t include it with every rotary tool. This keyless chuck is easy to install and makes bit changes very fast and very easy. As others have noted, the chuck will secure shaft sizes from the incredibly tiny up to 18”, which covers the vast majority of available accessories (and 100% of the accessories that I own).Install it by pressing the shaft brake and screwing the chuck onto the shaft. Continue pressing the shaft brake and use the wrench included with your rotary tool to tighten the chuck onto the shaft. To change bits, press the shaft brake and unscrew the chuck by hand (turning to the left) until it opens large enough to accommodate your bit. Insert your bit, hand tighten the chuck to secure your bit (turning to the right) and let go of the shaft brake. It only takes a couple of seconds. Brilliant!

Works for all the different sizes of bits and odd size in between from 132” - 18

Works for all the different sizes of bits and odd size in between from 132” - 18”.I saw people wrote reviews with negative impact about some of the accessories which are not correct with the shank of the bits etc. However using this Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck will solve this issue.I’m very satisfied I bought this item as a combo pack together with theĀ Dremel 220-01 Rotary Tool Work StationĀ and theĀ Dremel 4000-650 120-Volt Variable-Speed Rotary Tool with 50 AccessoriesYou can’t go wrong buying the combo packĀ Dremel 4000-650 120-Volt Variable-Speed Rotary Tool with 50 Accessories with Work Station and MultiPro Keyless ChuckĀ and that’s the way I went although it cost me a bit more on the long run but I got all items at the same time in one delivery.I attached it this chuck to my Dremel 4000 and also attached a bit to it and wow it works awesome. You can tighten it a bit more with the wrench included with the Dremel 4000 kit. Mind you this Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck comes as a stand alone and nothing else included.I’m quite satisfied with this item.

Revived my old 395 Multipro.

Great chuck, great price. Revived my old 395 Multipro. Make sure not to over-tighten it. Its a new design.

Useless and not truly keyless

Looks pretty, but useless. It is a sold piece of steel. Nothing turns on it to make it keyless. I do not no why they call this a keyless chuck. I have a injured hand and I thought a true keyless chuck would make changing the bits much easier since it is difficult with my bad hand. It is not keyless at all like on a drill. You still need to hold done the button on the tool or put something in the whole to tighten. Garbage. Just use the pieces that come with the Dremel since I actually think they are easier to use. I am shocked at Dremel for calling it keyless. I always thought they were an honorable company. I even bought Dremel products even though it cost more and was made in china. Not sure anymore.

Five Stars

Works excellent on the Milwaukee rotary tool

Yes, it really does work!

LOL Out of curiosity, I couldn’t help going back and reading a lot of the one star reviews. The vast majority were from folks who just didn’t quite grasp how this little marvel…

Works!!

Works great for me!! I’ve done a few projects so far with this and have had no issues! It is definitely easy to use and sped up the time it takes to change tool bits!!
