Product Reviews

Great smaller bit set for general usage…these are well-made, affordable, and hold up very well considering the price.

For general-purpose usage, these are excellent bits. I initially purchased this set a few years ago when it had a different packaging and case for my own old Dremel. Having had good experiences with them, I purchased another set of these for my girlfriend to go along with the Dremel 4000 I got for her. These bits are made from high-speed steel, and a good choice for general use. High-speed steel is a highly wear-resistant steel with good strength and reasonably good heat resistance. With good performance for a reasonable price, it’s a great material for higher-speed applications such as usage with a rotary tool. For general usage with materials such as wood, plastics, composites, aluminum, and mild/thin steel, these are great. They have a fast start and they do a good job resisting slipping. They hold up well but aren’t terribly expensive if you happen to break them (or would prefer to replace them instead of sharpening.) They work well with the Dremel, but also work well with other drills with a chuck design that allows smaller bits. I agree with others that when using these with a standard drill, prolonging the life of these bits means using the fastest RPM setting and to let the speed do the work.My only complaint is that these are more on the rust-prone side than bits of other materials. However, that’s expected of most HS steel and an occasional coating of any good rust preventive (I use Corrosion X) and this is a non-issue. I just wanted to note it as a heads-up given it is very easy to prevent rust, but much more of a pain to remove once the rust has already occurred.Beyond occasional usage on mild steel that is thin, I would not advise using these to drill steel because this will accelerate bit wear and may generate so much heat that the bits themselves become damaged. For this usage, I recommend using drill bits made of cobalt steel, as they are designed specifically for drilling hard metals. So overall, this is a great little set. It’s versatile, it’s affordable, and it’s well-made.

Great Dremel Bits from Tiniest to Largest

Absolutely the highest quality drill bits specifically for the Dremel Moto-Tool. They are durable, sharp as all get-out as they should be, and work in almost all materials; I’ve never tried them out on anything such as concrete or anything that hard, and don’t plan to do so. These are great for woods of all types, acrylic plexiglass and other materials of that hardness. I also like the fact that they come in their own little case so that I don’t have to worry about losing them. The sizes are fantastic from the tiniest one that is great for miniature sized screws, to the largest one which is great for a small regular screw. It’s also great for use if you use a center punch to start and mark where your hole is going to be drawn, to start the hole itself so that the screw (or nail) doesn’t get set off center. Just be certain that you hold your Dremel straight up and down, and you’ll get a terrific alignment.

A great set at a great price

This set is a overall great value for the money. The bits are very strong and I don’t fear them breaking. You do have to use different collets as they are a different size for each bit but that is not a big hassle at all. This is easy to use as dremel are a lot easier to handle than a drill so you get better control and less messing up happens. Best of all this actually has a spot in the case my dremel came in so I can keep it secure. Overall this is a great buy and don’t regret this purchase and it can at a great price.

Spot on

It’s branded by Dremel so you can expect quality. I purchased these bits for a small project that I was working on the required very small smooth holes and this hit the mark. That’s about the extent that I’d use these for though. Even though they are really durable, I wouldn’t try drilling through anything too tough as I have broken a couple of these before. I don’t blame the bit though, I really used them in situations that were inappropriate. Overall I really get good use out of these bits.

Very small!

I’m new to buying drill bits so I thought these were the normal size drill bits. They came in the mail and I was shocked to see how small they are. These little things can drill holes in a ant azz! My fault for thinking they were bigger.

but overall great bits, I’m sure I would have broken any …

I already broke one of them with little pressure, however, I was drilling aluminum, so the heat must’ve gotten to it, but overall great bits, I’m sure I would have broken any cheap bit doing what I do, but since it didn’t survive, I couldn’t give it 5 stars. Point being, don’t expect too much from these bits for the price they are at, but if ur drilling wood or softer materials GO FOR IT!

Tiny Bits

Purchased these fine Dremel Drill Bits for use with jewelry making materials but they are far to small for to handle with ease and the Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck made to hold small bits appeared unable to keep them from moving around in the shaft. Perhaps it was my inexperience but I don’t have the patience.

Decent, but fragile and expensive.

The price is a little high for what you get, but the length lends itself better than most drill bits than the longer ones. They are somewhat fragile, though, and will break easier than a higher quality bit does. So even if you think you’re paying for high quality, it’s not as good as you can get buying the bits separately. And you may save money if you only buy the bits you need, instead of the whole pack.

Good for Acrylic or Gel Nail Work!

Nice drill bit set with a good selection of bits. I use these for my acrylic nails!

Unless there’s an attachment for the first four they are too thin to fit in the Dremel only the two largest ones actually are able to be tightened

Bought with the 4486 Multipro keyless chuck for my Dremel rotary tool. I much prefer these to my larger drill for small jobs.

Not great.

If you don’t plan on drilling anything harder than pine you are fine. They break and dull easily especially at the higher rpms of a rotary tool.

Works as it says.

Very convenient for small drill work.
