The Dremel engraver comes with a very good bit. However, for larger lettering, or heavy tools, this one is the very best. It fits perfectly with the Dremel 290-01 engraver. The product information is an excellent place to see which bit goes with which engraver. The only way you would need to replace the bit is if you lose it

Nice. Fits the Dremel 290 engraver. I need this to engrave hardened steel parts.

Good tool

This tool cuts very well, but keep in mind that you will need a steady hand or use two hands and secure your object your working on. What ever you touch or what ever line you draw if you wobble it will show it, especially if your scribing on glass. Just be very steady, it’s not the tools fault, it does a very good job.

Great dremel bit for etching in crystals and metal. Make sure to use water, or the diamond dust will come unglued when temperature rises.

Works great on wood

Made my wife a jewelry box. She got me the engraver as a gift and Dremel did not include a bit…. so I got this better one for a little less than the engraver itself.
