Not up to Dremel quality!!

I’m not sure if I got a bad batch, or these are knock-offs, or Dremel has shipped their production to the lowest bidder. I’ve had EIGHT of these wheels (so far) separate at the center attachment point! This happened with normal use, like cutting off wire shelving nubs. Some lasted 30 seconds and some almost to the end of the abrasive. I’ve bought these locally for the past few years and have never had a problem.

Stick to the original! Unless you’re super rich…

Perfect addition for someone with way too much money… be prepared to waste at least 50% of them (and that’s probably a low estimate). Certainly convenient, but the metal ring that attaches to the EZ-Lock bit breaks free FAR too easily rendering the remainder of the disk completely useless. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.Picture shows three that broke in a row. My last straw with this garbage.

Metal fab

I’m a DIY metal fabricatorI never thought dremel tools would be in my shop. My son left his old dremel here. It’s an old small one.I decided to buy some accessories for it.Wow!!! Always thought dremel were for the home owner hobbiest. I grab for this dremel more times than I’d ever thought I would! I grab it vs changes my side grinder from wire brush to cut off etc.,These disc are awesome! Guess because they are so much smaller and thinner than a dewalt side cut off disc?But let me say, if the metal is small enough for these cut off wheels, I grab this vs my side grinder with cut off wheel!!!Smh, yeah, I don’t believe it either!!!

5” wheels cut rebar better and faster than the 3” wheels on my Ironton …

These 1.5” wheels cut rebar better and faster than the 3” wheels on my Ironton 3in. High Speed Cutoff Saw. The 3” wheels would only be an advantage on deeper cuts.

A must to have in your toolbox

Does the job, quick and easy but they wear out pretty quick. However I figured that if you cute with the rotation they last longer and they cut smoother. I make art of tin cans and they cut easy through tin, screws, aloi and not to thick metal

Long lasting and tough

Long lasting cut off wheels which take a lot of abuse. I use these mostly for cutting aluminum sheets and stainless steel bolts and they work great. I’ve yet to break one (knock on wood). I love the EZ Lock system which is so much easier to use then the older tiny screw system. One big advantage of the EZ Lock is that it’s spring loaded and so the cutting wheel “floats” a little bit which is helpful when you’re doing long cuts in metal which reduces the chances of it breaking at the mount point like the old screw style wheels.

Great product, works great in my dremel.Only 4 stars not 5 because now and then I encounter a disk that breaks off the center metal piece and becomes unusable.

Great for small cuts

I use these when my angle grinder feels like overkill for a metal cutting job. They wear down pretty quick, especially cutting ferrous metals. I’ve also had some break if I put too much pressure or if it got pinched while cutting. They are a bit pricey for how disposable they are, but there are times when they are the only tool for the job and, as such, have value in my workshop. I love the EZ lock system and these are the most used attachment for my dremel.
