The EZ506CU cutting wheel features a super abrasive grit called cubic boron nitride or CBN. CBN used on a cut-off wheel allows the wheel to remain sharp longer, stay cool, and it won’t shrink or break. When mounted on a Dremel Rotary tool, the Premium Metal Cutting wheels have 20X longer metal cutting life than most Dremel cut-off wheels. Finally A Dremel Wheel That Lasts

Finally Dremel has created a cutting disc that does not grind itself into nothing. I have had this wheel for a couple of months now, and it is nothing short of amazing when compared to other Dremel cutting wheels. I have used this to cut through rifle barrels, and it cuts through them without issue. If you do a lot of metal cutting with your Dremel, this is the wheel for you.

Nicel and Different

I just received this from Amazon - after a short backorder. Tried it out trimming off some stainless steel screws. The first thing you notice is that this USA-made tool doesn’t change diameter (like abrasive disks do) as you cut. I can’t tell yet about longevity - and its a bit pricey - but it cuts well and I like it.

cut is too wide

doesn’t work for my purposes, the cut is wider( result isn’t as refined) and it take s much longer to cut through brass than the regular metal cut off wheels ( I cut through a lot of ¹⁄₄” brass and need precision cuts)

A bit pricey but works beautifully

Cuts mild steel very nicely, but the kerf is fairly large for cutting off small screws (#8-10). You likely will find yourself grinding the entire end of the screw into dust rather than neatly trimming off a thin slice. The disc installs perfectly on the EZ402 mandrel with just a quick twist. Highly recommended (based on other reviews, I did not even attempt using the fiberglas discs).

Quick attach arbor and metal cutoff discs

These work great. I’ve been using Dremel Moto Tools for years nowand using cutoff wheels (especially for metal) all along. I like this veryquick and positive attachment system much better than the old methodof using a screw to hold these discs in place on the arbor.

Great cutting wheel

Great cutting wheel. I was replacing some old steel gang boxes original to the house with the blue plastic boxes. I had to cut out some of the old boxes and didn’t want to remove more sheetrock than necessary. This wheel made it easy to slice through the steel boxes. I had been using a different wheel and it caused the dremel tool to get very hot and took a long time. This is much better.

Cuts way better and longer then the traditional metal cutting wheels!! Hopefully it lasts awhile.

Perfection Made Easy!

compared to the other dremel bit for cutting metal this one wins day in day out.I use this to cut cymbals and this has made my job much more easier. I don’t have to keep switching out worn down wheel bits like before this one will keep going and going and going. Generally it would take up to two wheels to cut down two cymbals but now I have cut three cymbals and this bit still has much more life left to go.Buy this now if you’re serious about your projects and saving money and time.
