I just cut cast iron hingers from a car with this!!! they are strong! but becareful they still whobble if you do not treat it right and try to push it on the surface too fast!!outside of that, this thing cuts steal the best!!I also used the plastic cutting tool, it seems to work well with not much melting peices left behind.
Super easy changeout system, still hurts when the discs die
First off: I LOVE the new changeout system. Very easy to do, and once you do it the first time, you wonder why on earth they hadn’t invented this before! So simple, so user friendly. Awesome advance, and well worth changing out bits to get this new attachment.The metal cutting blade in this pack did very well… initially. I was sawing off screw ends that went through some plywood on a chicken coop left and right. I probably went through 20 when my crazy sensitive ears detected a slight change in tone (instead of the usual higher pitch whirrr of the rotary tool, it had deepened slightly in the sound it was making). Within 2 screws of that, it broke apart and popped me just under the nose and across my arm. Now… anyone who has used a dremel for cutting metal knows this is inevitable. This happens. A good reminder to pay attention to the tone of the machine, because that’s the only clue you get. However, the thicker blade vs the old thin reddish ones may have helped. No cuts, just a small line bruise on my arm, and a few moments of holding my mouth and my eyes watering. LoL. No bruise on my face. Sure beats cuts!So, honestly.. I’m not real sure if it’s “2x’s longer lasting” or not. I think so, but it has been a while since I did that much metal cutting. But, they give out in the same fashion (ka-blewy!)Overall, this kit is worth it if you’re still on the old tiny-screw-head holders for your cutting disks. This makes life much easier!

Good little discs and the EZ-Lock system is awesome. Much easier to use than having to constantly mess with the screw chuck.
OK, but needs work
They did the job for me – they’re heavier duty than the usual Dremel cutoff wheels. But the EZ Lock mechanism involves a metal insert around the hole in each wheel, and that tends to come off with heavy use – which spells the end of the life of that wheel. Pity, because it’s a nice mechanism to use.
I highly recommend buying it
This product is the cat’s meow! The EZ mandrel and the cutting discs that come with it work very well, and the price for this kit is fair and it’s money well spent for anyone who actually gets regular use out of this dandy tool. I highly recommend buying it.

Strong and takes a beating, still have over half one and I had cut 19 pieces of steel with it. Plastic one… Maybe I had the speed to high, melted as it went but still did the job.
Easy lock with it
Okay, these are just toy parts for me, I love my Dremel. I love it more because now I have the EZ lock thingamabob that this puppy came with. I enjoy the ease of use compared to the screw thing I had before. I only used the wheel for metal and it worked fine. I hope to use the plastic cutting wheel later, but haven’t gotten around to doing that yet.
It’s just what I needed and at a good price too.
I used it just now to cut off rusted metal tips from a dishwasher rack so I can install a repair kit (rubber caps that you glue over the prongs). I used up one disc but finished with a second disc still intact. It includes the EZ lock Mandrel that I was going to buy separately, so it’s a bargain to get it and the cutting discs at this price.The big plastic case is kind of overkill as the disc are so thin, and it won’t fit in my dremel case so I put the discs in a small resealable plastic bag. I suppose some might need it if they have a lot of other items. I prefer to keep all my accessories together in the dremel case.

I love these cutting plates from dremel. They’re definitely easy to break but that’s human error. Trust me, I’ve broken a bunch. Brand spanking new as well.

The metal cutter is great had a nut and screw to be remove . Work like charm. Use of the other tools save me time.
