Frugal replacement with just a couple cons

Simple packaging, decently clear instructions (clear that it was translated to English from Chinese), and extra awesome that it included the proper screwdriver. Doing its job so far.Biggest two problems:1) The screw holes on the battery are a little bit (¹⁄₂ mm?) off. You can either make the left hole bigger or just force it in slow and steady.2) My system profiler is telling me the full charge capacity is 5219 mAh when the battery is advertised at 6000 mAh capacity. 13% isn’t negligible…

Decent replacement but has a couple of issues.

The original battery in my MacBook Pro swelled up and caused some operational issues. The MacBook was well out of it’s warranty period so being handy, I decided to see what was available in the DIY area. I found this battery and it had decent reviews so I purchased it. The included tools make removing the back of the PowerBook and the battery a snap. Installation is straightforward and took less than fifteen minutes. Now that we have the good out of the way, on to the not so good. The battery does work and I am happy to have my PowerBook back in operational condition however, the charge depletes very quickly. In a standby or sleep mode, the battery does well with holding g the charge but wake things up and watch it go. When you need to plug in and charge the battery back up, the battery heats up and the upper left hand corner of the PowerBook gets very warm to the touch. Neither of these two issues are a deal breaker and I knew going in that the quality would not be the normal Apple standards I am use to. This replacement battery is a decent and reliable option for when your original battery gives up the ghost.

New life at a fair price

Installed the battery after having watched the video. The whole process took less than a half an hour. the bat. had enough charge to start the computer. checked the log, it had only one cycle on it and was a recent build. Gave our seven year old mack book a new heart. Gets almost 4 hrs of web browsing with some streaming . Never charges to the full listed power but close. Fit perfectly, no issues, works well, fair price. Can’t ask for anything more. I recommend it if you need new power. The included tools worked great. Glad I found it on Amazon.

Battery in my 09 MBP was lasting at most 15 …

Battery in my 09 MBP was lasting at most 15 min. Replaced and it lasted for 90 min for a few months. Now it’s back down to maybe 45 min after less than a year.Upgraded to an SSD and use it plugged in 90% of the time. Will just keep doing that.

4 Star Rating is Misleading

Picked this product based on 4 star rating but ended up with a bad battery out of the box. I followed the instructions provided for charging the new battery. Battery would charge and hold a charge until it drained down to 68% and then the computer would die. I bought the replacement battery from Bull-tech for roughly the same price. Running fine so far and holding a charge longer than this DTK battery.

Does the trick!

I was in the market for a new battery for my macbook so I decided to by this one by DTK. So far so good! installation was super simple and It was really awesome that the company included the proper screwdrivers in the package. That will save you from having to locate a tri tip screwdriver. My 2009 macbook now has a new lease on life

Not great, but it works. Original apple OEM lasted longer when new. I upgraded to SSD at the same time, which should have helped preserve battery life as there was no more spinning disk.
