the thumb sticks are more rugged and have better grip on them

I have definitely seen multiple improvements with these new PS4 controllers over the older ones. The battery lasts a lot longer, the thumb sticks are more rugged and have better grip on them, L2 and R2 buttons are more springy (good thing), and the thumb sticks also feel way smoother when moving them around. Other things I have noticed is that the buttons are now grey like the throwback controller and there is now a light on the touchpad. Although the last gen controllers are still pretty good, I would definitely recommend the new gen controllers for only $10 more.

Sony quality, versatile, and used for basically everything!

Sony knows how to make controllers. Long battery life, excellent quality, and unlike the ps3 controllers, you can now bluetooth to basically anything! We use these controllers at the house across PS3, PS4, PC, Android, Kodi, and Raspberry Pi!!!

Sturdy and reliable

Sturdy and reliable. A great buy to add players to a game or for back up controller for battery life. If I play constantly they last a good 6 hours or more. If I am just using them to control the PlayStation they will last for a couple days.

Better than My Original Controller

My original controller wouldn’t charge and was dying a slow death, so this was a replacement. I actually like it a lot more than the original controller. The thumb sticks are better made and have a better grip on them. The buttons also seem to be a better quality. I’ve been using it for over 4 months now with no issues. This has been a great replacement and I’d highly recommend if you’re looking for a new controller.

OLD CONTROLLER VS NEW CONTROLLER! WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?

Very minor difference between the two but the NEW one has basically a new light bar. That’s the only MAJOR difference.Other than that VERY NICE controllers! Well worth it

Better design and quality

This upgraded model has tougher analog covers and the internal flaws have been worked out. Make sure you replace your controllers with the upgraded model when they do eventually break or start acting whacky. Charging the same price for the older models is pretty sketchy since the issues are so common with them.

Works as intended. I mainly use it to play on my PC; by using Steam, there is an option to connect your controller to your PC via USB or Bluetooth. Both methods work like a charm.
