This precision remote gives you the ability to zoom, record, and control shutter release functions from several feet away. Works with most Canon, Sony and JVC cameras with a LANC input. Waste of money!

This is my second one, and just as I expected, the zoom rocker broke within the first couple minutes of use. The first one is not so bad; it just feels weird. I guess the spring broke, or slipped out. On the second one, the zoom rocker gets stuck each time you zoom in or out. So if you try to zoom just a little bit, it will keep zooming after you take your finger off the rocker. You have to press the opposite end, or lift up the end you were pressing. All the other buttons work just fine though. I have a Sony FX7, and a Canon Vixia HF-G20, and the focus works great. Even when either camera is set to auto focus, pressing the “N” or “F” buttons on the this remote will over-ride the auto focus.

Works with the Sony HDR-PJ710v and 760v as well as the CX series

The zoom buttons do click which is a little silly since the microphone on the camera picks up the sound, which many here have documented well.I have only had it for a 2 days but wanted to let people know my Camcorder model works with the unit Sony HDR-PJ710v. It is nice that it comes with the Sony 10 pin adapter also, i didnt realize it and order one off ebay a while back.The clamp is weak but could potentially be replaced with a sturdier bolt on clampThe wire is a little short maybe 22” with the adapter on it, so I will need an extension for when i extend the center column of the tripodFor the Sony HDR-PJ710v camera the +/- buttons nor the N/F buttons seem to do anything, ill update if i notice anything later…The “On Screen” button changes the onscreen data to “off”, “on” or On Screen Controls (zoom and record with the touchscreen)The record and photo buttons work as they shouldZoom rocker works well and is easy to control (if only it didnt click it would be perfect)Zoom Speed Dial works geatCamera On/Off slider is functional (meaning it turns the camcorder on and off) but it is hard to slid and with the until only using a pinch grip to mount it to the tripod and using it with just you thumb it is hard to slide….. perhaps it will loosen over time.Great Functionality for the price!

Not worth it. Doesn’t work with BMPCC

I was sent some other brand that looked nearly identical to the product pictured, but it was different. I wanted to use this with the Blackmagic Pocket Camera, but it would not communicate with it. Overall the product felt extremely cheap and clunky. Try the Revo lanc if you need a simple record trigger for your bmpcc.

Works but not very well

I got this for an event that I was recording with my Canon XA10. Pro’s it worked, and I didn’t have to touch the camera body to zoom in and out. But that’s it, the rest is con’s. It’s very cheap feeling, there are no instructions at all, mine didn’t even have the eBenk sticker on the remote, I made the mistake of thinking that it might need a battery, and unscrewing the back (It doesn’t need batteries). During the event I bought this for, thankfully the audio was coming in from the board, not an on camera mic, as every time I zoomed in there was a very loud click. The folks at the table just in front of me turned around a time or two because of it. I felt very unprofessional. Returned it the next day. Not worth it at all…

For the price it’s ok

For the price it’s ok, not the best. So, I’ve seen a lot of comments here about it not working and making the camera turn on and off. It’ll do that unless you have both the camera and the remote turned ON BEFORE you plug the remote into the camera. And you have to do the same to turn it off, don’t turn the camera or the remote off, unplug the remote BEFORE you turn off the camera. If you do that it works great, I have it on my Vixia HFG10 and it works fine as long as you follow those instructions. The one thing I don’t like about it is that the zoom control is really loud, you can hear it click on your recordings, so be careful when you use the zoom during a shot that requires good audio. Also, the photo button doesn’t do anything, I wish it did because I hate that on the Vixia HFG10 if you want to take a picture you have to use the touch screen, which bumps the camera, so it would have been cool if the photo button on this remote worked, but it doesn’t, oh well.

Different product than pictured

Pretty sure I got ripped off with this item. The remote that I received is labelled “King Best” not EBRX-801 and is a different color than the one pictured here on Amazon. Not a huge deal except the jack is too small to fit into any kind of connector or adapter. Worthless item, waste of money.

Simple but good, and it’s working

Simple but good, and it’s working.The rubber smells bad.Zoom controller works well except at the ‘slowest’ setting of the speed knob on the eBenk: at that setting the zoom starts out at “speed 1”, then switches to a much higher “speed 2”. And “speed 1” is substantially higher than the uniform slow speed that you get when that eBenk speed control knob is one notch above the “slowest” setting.The camera and the controller need to be switch on and switch off at the same time.

this remote solved a major problem for me. If it wasn’t for this item, our live feed camera which is mounted 25 feet above would not be able to power on or off with out this item because camera remote did not have a on and off power switch. Thank you for this product.

Garbage.

It is garbage. Returned this after using it for 5 minutes.
