Keep 2 for dual view, hack the other two for 3D :)

First, let me say this: Dual view is flipping AWESOME.Second, this is a weird set, because, well…it’s DUAL view, not quad view. Why would I ever need 2 sets of these? I wouldn’t.The good news, though, is that if you take the second set and swap the right lens of the “B” frames into the “A” frames and vice versa, you wind up with an extra set of 3D glasses, which genuinely is a useful thing to have.It’s really easy. I used the tip of a knife to simply pop the inner frame out of the right side lens on both the A and B frames, then swapped the lenses between them. Voila, 3D. Why does this work? Well, because Dual View relies on the same technology as 3D. With 3D glasses, the left and right lenses are each seeing a different image presented by the TV, creating the illusion of depth. With Dual View, both lenses in a set of glasses receive the same image, and by having one set of “A” glasses and one set of “B” glasses, blammo, two people can see totally different things on the same screen at the same time.Dual view isn’t perfect, of course: you’ll get a bit less resolution, which might make some games look a bit worse, but given how great games look these days, it’s a marginal reduction in quality and is more than counterbalanced by the fact that you’re turning your single HDTV into two HDTV’s.For reference, I use these with an LG 55UB8500 55” 4K TV, and I’m so happy I can’t stop giggling. It’s awesome.

Unfortunately for me, I was wrong in making this order, because I thought avair in pack 2 pairs of 3D glasses and 2 pairs of glasses Dual Play.This is entirely my fault (lack of understanding on my part) and the seller is not there for nothing.But there is a very simple trick to resolve this problem, if it ever happens to you and me! I realized that the left pair contains two polarized filters Left and right 2 films polarized Right.So …. Just gently unclip a pair Right and Left and take a left filter to put in the pair of right and the reverse on the other pair of glasses!It is super simple and it works perfectly!So here I am with 4 (2 genuine supplied with TV) 3D glasses and 2 pairs Dual Play as I wanted to start! phew!Note that these glasses are far more comfortable and nicer than the one supplied with the TV!

Great set of glasses for any passive 3D TV (I use it with my Vizio M-Series).With these glasses you can play any splitscreen game on any console that allows you to play splitscreen.It works with SBS (Side by Side) and TB (Top Bottom) 3D.I’ve tested it with Xbox One and Xbox 360 - works great.Simply switch to the proper 3D mode when entering the game and make sure each of the 2 players has the right glasses on.After that you’ll be playing a splitscreen game fullscreen.Highly recommend for co-op game play!See also: […]

Work as designed

Don’t listen to LG telling you that you “MUST” have a dual play compatible display to use these. The technology is simple. One eye is normally polarized to only let the left image to your eye, the other the right. All these do is take two sets of the same polarization and use that for both eyes. So what you get is one pair of “right eye” only and one pair of “left eye” only. Set your display for side by side 3d, and use local coop in any game that is side/side…and you’re all set!However, the technology is not great. Read reviews on even the compatible displays and you’ll find out that you definitely can see part of the other player’s image on screen. Normally when you are watching 3D this is not an issue, because you’re seeing nearly the same image anyway, so it overlaps. But, when one image is signficantly different, you get ghosting. Even in some normal 3d there is a bit of ghosting, but here it’s a lot.The other problem, of course, is that very few games support dual play. So what this means is that for a non-dual play game, the image you normally see in coop, which is half of the screen, is stretched out to the size of the whole screen, thus doubling pixels horizontally. And that’s the vast majority of games. Let’s hope TriDef or nVidia bake in a toggle into their drivers to fix this.The bottom line is they work as intended and just like the LG branded glasses. But the technology behind it, supported by the game devs, is not great. It’s sad because it would be so easy for them to halve the pixels in coop mode so they stretch properly.I am running a custom built PC with nVidia’s 3D Play on a GTX 960, with an LG 55LM4600.

Split screen in full screen!

I was highly skeptical on whether this would actually work or not but the price of the glasses was really good especially for the number of pairs you get. I tested them immediately with Mario Kart Deluxe on the Nintendo switch and they made the split screen into full screen. The only issue is certain games put things like maps in the middle so you might only see half of it but it’s not a big deal and it’s fantastic to have the whole 65 inches of the TV while playing 2 player split screen definitely give these a shot if your TV has this capability

They do what they say the do

There is a small but hardly noticeable halo at certain angles but generally fine.

Works great with LG OLED65C6P. If the game is not designed for dual play the menus are streched out quite a bit , but the actual game does not seem to be streched out near as bad.
