The EiKO 35003 SoLux true daylight spot halogen incandescent light bulb with a 36-Degree beam angle is a 12-Volt, 35-Watt, 4700 Kelvin light bulb with a clear glass face. This MR16 bulb has a GU5.3 base, a C-8 filament, a candlepower of 3,998 and an average life of about 4000 hours. SoLux is the world’s only lighting technology that mimics natural daylight and allows products’ colors to be seen the way they naturally appear. This bulb will enhance the appeal of art, photography and jewelry and decrease product returns based on inaccurate color reproduction. Great for makeshift sun gun!

This is the perfect bulb for your makeshift sun gun. it shows all spider webbing, buffer trails, and true colors. Beware of this bulb in the 50 Watt version; the bulb is too bright and washes out the scratches.

You need that expensive SoLux Lamp to use these bulbs.

Would not advise unless you are using a SoLux Lamp. I used mine with a G10 adapter - blew out the first time I turned it on.

Great for Color-Matching Auto Paint

Following the path of many DIY’ers, I made a fake 3M Sun Gun out of a 12V cordless drill and the Solux bulb. This bulb is excellent at mimicking daylight, and the auto paint color match I got as a result was very good.

It works just like advertised. The 35 watts provide a good light source considering my barn light are working off a 12 VDC battery system powered by my small windmill.
