I just got this product and found that many of LED lights were not working at all.(I scanned appropriate voltage by changing the voltage from 1.5 to 4.5V, and most of red/green/yellow did not work at all.)So, the quality control of the product might not be good.I might think about returning this and a new one. But I am not sure if the newer one works fine.The package does not have a manual/product description.The website also does not have the information for this product.Since this kind of starter kit is for kids or beginners, this product is not suitable for these users.——————————————-After I wrote this review, the company kindly sent a replacement kit.I appreciate the quick action for this. Now the kids start playing with this.However, as I wrote before, it might be much kind if the product has a simple manual.I put 1 star before but now it is 3-4 star for my review.

More than I expected

There’s a lot of good stuff in this kit. Enough to keep me and my daughter exploring the potential of the Pi for months. For $12, that’s a heck of a good deal. I couldn’t take her to a movie for twice that.Wrecked the power supply module in 30 seconds. Don’t give it more than 7 volts, orit’ll convert to a power passthrough module, which we’ll be using it for now. This was my own fault, so no stars off. I’ll buy another one. Probably a few more. It actually is a cool piece of gear, but better input protection would be good.The breadboard is adorably tiny. I love it. I had no idea they made them that small. Will be using it only for trivial stuff. Another kit we bought has a more serious one.A webpage with component list and specifications would have been helpful though.

Bad connectors

Connectors are too small for standard breadboards and can lose contact. The wire gauge and durability is also substandard. There is nothing worse than trying to troubleshoot a complicated circuit when a wire or two is not connected. Worthless in my opiniondowngraded my rating subsequently. Now I have connector pins that separate from the wire. really disappointed

Decent kit. Decent price. Ok quility. Why not.

Good kit if you just need a small collection of various components. I could have spent about twice as much and bought everything separately in far greater amounts, but this kit had what I needed and the price was worth me not having to think about it.

Nice assortment

Came exactly as pictured. Buttons work really well. The only thing missing was potentiometer mounting washers, but it did include a nice assortment of resistors. Do be careful to not blow up the LEDs since these are rated 3V max.

I’ve only tried a few components out of this set so far, hookup wires and capacitors mostly, but those at least work fine. Obviously the components are going to be on the cheaper/lower quality side of things, but for just getting into electronics and mocking up circuits I think they will serve me well. I have heard of issues with these cheaper breadboards, I haven’t used the one in this set yet but when I do I will probably do some continuity checking with a multimeter before I put power into it.

Awesome stuff…Only worked half way through it..Bought some purple LED’s so my Daughter would show some interest…And she did once that row of purple LED’s lit up in sequence..Tutorials are great as well. I am off to get the 37 piece sensor kit now…Elegoo rocks! Thank you for making this easy to dive into..

A lot of good pieces to teach simple circuits to children

I wish it came with some project instructions for kids. If it came with a 1000uf capacitor though, it would be more awesome. It’s also inexpensive enough that I can reco it for when kids are ready for something more advanced than the premade, snap-together circuit kits.
