Elite’s design for the Cannibal Water Bottle Cage is ideal for race situations, when quick and easy bottle access is critical. The side-entry cage allows the bottle to be inserted from the sides as well as the front, so you can stay focused on what’s ahead. The Cannibal is built with reinforced fiberglass that is durable and lightweight, with the cage weighing less than 40 grams.
Switching from my custom race cages and man these things hold a bottle like no other. They almost put to much pressure to the point where removing a bottle is too difficult, but if I don’t eject anymore bottles I guess its worth it. I will update after they wear in a bit and have a few more miles on them.
I purchased the Elite Cannibal Water Bottle Cage in Black/Blue.I’ve had it attached to my bike for a little over a month now and it’s been working great. It’s a very good looking water bottle cage. Very sturdy and works well. It grips my water bottle very well. Very easy to slip the water bottle in and out of the cage as well.
This is a great cage for mountain bikes with smaller frames so you can get the bottle out from the side. It also holds the bottle really well during drops and rough terrain, the only issue is with some bottles with a rounded bottom you can push the bottle all the way through it. I have tried a few cages for this particular frame and this one was the best.
Cage works very well. They’re plastic with grippy rubber bits to hold the bottle in. Very tight fit with a standard size bottle a I’m using with Camelback Podiums. Grabbing the bottle from the this takes a bit more force than a standard carbon or aluminum cage, but I’ll trade that for the assurance that it will never drop a bottle. When putting the bottle back in this cage, your best bet is to do so at an angle. It slides right in.
Its lite and looks good but you will need a small bottle. I used my regular full size bottle and it fell out every time I pedaled out of saddle. You will probably want to buy 2 BC the only bottle that works is very small. I’m going back to my old cage.
These cages hold bottles very well and at first are a little too tight, but they break-in with time. Bottle entry/exit to the side is easy. I highly recommend these cages.
I bought this item because of the feature of putting the bottle from the side and hoping to change my old one because i’m having difficulty putting them in. unfortunately, the depth is not the same as my old one and the bottle i have (24 oz) will is too tall for it to fit. But i still kept it because i like it, i just have to get a smaller bottle just so i can use it.
I’m only a beginner at road racing so can’t tell you if the weight of this bottle holder is keeping me from winning more races, but the construction is excellent and it has a mechanism that allows it to adjust to bigger bottles (within reason). The look is sleek and stylish and is easily the best-looking water bottle cage I have ever seen.
Very easy to get bottles in and out of this cage, even with a tight fit/small frame. Just wish it had a bit of a tighter grip on the bottles.
Too tight.
Easy to install, like the appearance and hold bottle securely while mountain biking
The look is nice for the price and it holds my bottles secure. There are some gaps in the plastic around between the hardened plastic and the rubber that I wish were not that.
extremely lightweight and durable. i have two of this model. will buy again if needed.
Looks good. Does it’s job. Price was right. Just no reason to pay 3x mote for carbon fiber.
Works as expected and looks good
perfect and holds bottle like glue. aggressive looks
Roads around here have been deteriorating over the years, and have turned my trusty old wire cages into quite an excellent water bottle launching system.
comments powered by DisqusVery happy with this cage. I am using on a 2017 Trek Slash, and the side access is perfect for getting the water bottle in/out of the tight space within the bike frame.
