Made with pride in Italy
Elite’s self-adjusting Custom Race Water Bottle Cage lets you focus on the road rather than fighting a poor bottle/cage interface. Constructed from fiber-reinforced polyamide makes for a light and durable bottle cage. The key part, however is an elastomer rubber that allows the Custom Race to not only expand, adapting to different bottle shapes, but it also absorbs vibration too. The Custom Race Water Bottle Cage comes in White/USA Graphics, White/Italian, Gloss White/Blue, Chrome White, and Chrome Black.
My standard camelback bottles don’t fit- the cage is way too tight and you have to put real effort to get the bottles in there (and out). Maybe they will loosen up over time, but I’d like to be able to hydrate in the meantime, so returned to amazon it goes
This is a solid and lightweight cage. I was a little skeptical at first because I have always had metal ones, but this one seems to been quality enough that it will hold up with a lot of use. I love all the options of colors and am very happy with how this item looks in person. The design of it makes it very easy to get the water bottle in and out easily. It fits around a water bottle tightly so I am not worried about it flying out. It does not come with the screws to secure it to your bike frame. Fortunately I had some laying around from an old bike so it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. Besides not coming with screws, the only real issue (and it’s not even that huge) is the pointy edges on the top of the part that actually holds your water bottle. I have a cruiser bike to the water bottle sits more in front of me a few inches below my handle bars, between my knees when I am peddling. Every once in awhile the inside of my leg would brush the pointy part of the holder. My husband has one of these bottle cages also, which is located in the “normal” location, and he does not have any issues. As of now, I don’t hit the holder enough for me to warrant getting a different one, but just be aware that it might be a little bit of an issue depending on where the location of your cage is.
Amazon in my case automatically suggested that I buy a Camelback waterbottle ( usually bought together suggestion ) but it didn’t “tell” is way too small for the bottle it was suggesting . You must come to a full stop to put or pull the water out of the holder & personally will have to use both hands
Strong and lightweight water bottle cage. I purchased three for my new touring bike (every once counts, even on a relatively heavy bike), and all three combined are lighter than one of the “traditional” steel or aluminum cages. I have used them for over a month now on 2-3 rides per week on that bike, and they continue to hold water bottles solidly. It is also easy to retrieve a bottle while riding – comparable to the Bontrager RL cages on my road bike.Very happy with the purchase, as these were about 60% of the cost of the Bontrager RL cages.
This is a high quality bottle cage, the graphics are applied cleanly, it holds the water bottle nicely, and it’s Made in Italy. It does not come with mounting screws, but they are inexpensive at the local bike shop if your bike doesn’t already have mounting screws pre-installed.Below are product details from the manufacturer:[…]Custom RaceUsed by more Champions than any other cage of the past decade, the custom race is a modern racing icon* Custom Race is the bottlecage most used by Pro Tour Teams* Painted fiber-reinforced (FRP) painted material* Glass fibre-reinforced polyamide construction is durable, supple and attractive.* Adjustable elastomer rubber, adapts to bottle shapes and absorbs vibration* Available in the fluorescent colors and new soft touch version* Perfect for hard riding
I bought a pair of these for my new bike . I guess because this is RACE it seems to be a tad taller than my other Elite (non race ) cages and the one on the seat tube will not hold a 25 oz bottle . I had to buy a 21 oz bottle to use . Other than that they work great . My bottles never fly out on a rough road ride .
These are excellent cages. Very strong and quality graphics. I liked the one I got for my girlfriend’s bike so much that I replaced the metal wire cage on mine. The design seems to hold onto even the skinnier clear plastic bottles over moderate terrain.
Very happy with the purchase. I have been using this bottle cage for few months now, mounted on a race bike I train with every couple of days. It holds my bottles securely. It’s lightweight, durable and finish is impeccable. Definitively the best bottle cage I have used in terms of quality/price ratio.
Very good bottle cage, I gave it only 4 starts because sometimes i need to use extra force to push the bottle into the cage, during long rides.
Just Great !
Did the trick on my eBike that had no space.
Good and affordable cage. I haven’t had problems so now I have these on all three of my bikes.
theyre water bottle cages, what am i supposed to put here? like the color and not wanna spend money on carbon cages? get these, theyre rock solid and theyre cheap
Installs easily and holds std. water bottle solidly in place so no risk of losing. I would recommend to others.
It is holding up, but it is plastic not CF.
Very well made, high quality cage. Looks great on my bike and holds my bottles securely.
Works very good and can match color to bike color. Newer lost bottle with these cages.
comments powered by DisqusThere’s a reason these are on so many of the bikes in the pro peloton. Simple, firm grip. shedloads of colours.
