Make sure you check these as soon as you receive them. I put them in a drawer in preparation for a ski trip a month later. When I got to the slopes, it turns out the entire package was a dud. It’s now too late to return them, so I’m stuck with 8 very expensive hunks of dead lithium.
These batteries – actually cells – are drop-in replacements for ‘AA’ cells in most devices.Nonrechargeable (called ‘primary’) lithium iron disulfide (Li-FeS2) cells like this have three advantages over ‘regular’ 1.5-volt alkaline or heavy-duty zinc-carbon dry cells:1. Much higher energy capacity. How much depends mostly on the amount of power draw from the device.2. Much longer shelf life – cells are now marked ‘best before’ 15 years from date of manufacture!3. Much lighter weight – useful when backpacking and many other applications.4. More power output in cold conditions.5. Much less likely to leak and corrode devices from the inside. The main disadvantage is cost. Additionally, a few devices don’t understand the discharge curve of the lithium cells and prematurely indicate full discharge of these batteries. If you want to measure the capacity of these or any other rechargeable or nonrechargeable batteries or cells, I highly recommend the expensive but very well built The ZTS Multi-Battery Tester With Case - MBT-1.A somewhat cheaper option, if you don’t need the highest possible capacity/runtime but do want the other advantages, are Energizer Advanced Lithium Batteries, AA Size, 8-Count.
Bought the eight pack here on Amazon. Seemed expensive, but worth it if they actually work. Delivery was very prompt.I put two of the fresh batteries in my wireless iMac mouse within a day or so of their arrival. They went in on November 1st 2015. They’re dead now, just over a month later.. December 4th 2015.Cheap batteries lasted longer than these did.I feel totally ripped off!Guess I’ll look for some reliable rechargeable batteries next time.
I have not tested any of the batteries I ordered. I did not read the description carefully before I ordered. I cannot comment on the quality of the batteries that I received. What I CAN say, is that these batteries have been re-packaged by the seller and not the manufacturer into a re-closeable plastic container which means the batteries could have been used before, purchased as bulk “seconds”, or whatever. I suspect they are fresh and only re-packaged, but HAD I KNOWN, i would have chosen factory sealed packages. This fact should have been listed PLAIN AND BOLD FACED in the description.
Why do I buy lithium batteries & recommend that you do too? The number ONE reason (and one that I want to share with others) is that if you put them into something that you don’t use that often (flashlight, for example!), you don’t have to worry that one day when you look at your battery-run-gadget, that its ruined by batteries that expired and leaked. Lithium batteries NEVER leak!! (did you know that?) Even when they are dead. So…I think that just this fact makes them worth purchasing!! You can put them into something and forget about it. PLUS one more reason: put them in your smoke alarms if you don’t want to deal with that blasted chirping again next year. These LAST so much longer!!! Sure they are more expensive, but worth every penny and are the ONLY type of batteries I buy now.
Very pleased.Energizer lithium batteries are best market has available-My opinion.Withstand freezing temperatures, destroying corrosion, etc. I have kept these batteries in flashlights-multi meters, toys, etc.–sometimes unused for 3+ years—-work perfectly.no corrosion, very good lifespan.Review based on continued years of product use.Have never yet found others worthy of any comparison.
Wanting to replace the original battery I got with my indoor/outdoor weather station that lasted 2 years. Energizer advertises it is good to - 40F. I purchased in January ‘17 and it is February ‘17 and I am already replacing it! Must be old stock. Expiration on battery says 03-2033 so these must have been produced in 2013 because the battery says “holds power 20 years.”
After watching myself many times having to toss the Energizer Max batteries after taking only a few shots with my digital camera, (Canon SX130 point and shoot), I decided I’d purchase these. I’d tried rechargeables in the past, only to have them go out after less than two months use. Epecting “more of the same”, I felt I didn’t have anything to lose. I’m pleasantly surprised! In fact, I had to look back in my orders to see when I purchased these; almost five months ago! And I’m still on the first two. So if you have one of those digital cameras that is a battery drain (mine is notorious for this, I’ve read), then purchase these. The four pack should do you for about a year.
Thank You !
What’s not to like? Long lasting. Nuff said
Really does last 9 times longer than alkaline.
Best batteries of their type, bar none.
good batteries
Absolutely the most crap battery ever. After one swelled up and leaked all over my rain gauge after a week and a second died (0.7 V REVERSE VOLTAGE!
Bought two packages. One package was garbage. Lasted one day. Tested with multimeter meter to confirm
They just keep going, and going, and going, and going, and going, and going, and going, and going…
